  1. Ok, will have a look. I did look at some weathering on the a while back. I think it was humbrols own videos. i have got a few different weathering products from humbrol.
  2. ok...….. i'm not quite sure what you mean by oil / pigment? Is this like washes ?etc
  3. Oh ok, didn’t really think of adding afterwards. Still learning the weathering techniques. Next stage is to mask up the underside and paint that colour. would you then clear cor the whole plane, before doing any further weathering?
  4. I’ve now painted the green part of the camo and now realised I used completely the wrong colour of grey!! im not going to stress too much about it, as I’m only using it for a trial of new things to me. i am also thinking of making some custom decals for it, instead of the originally intended ones. The green is a little heavy in places, as I was having trouble with airbrush. But the effect is still visible in places.
  5. I'm glad its the same way 😀. hopefully will look ok when green applied. Thanks. I am building as a GR1, But haven't actually decided the exact plan. The decals that came with the kit are knackered. They are old and yellow. I am going to make my own set up.
  6. Masked up the panels for the green to be sprayed. looking forward to see how this effect comes out 👍🏻. website to upload images
  7. Did the first camo colour today, added the grey to the areas as shown. i am hoping that I am doing this correctly. I will slightly overlap the grey, to make sure I keep the black coming through from underneath. from what I can see, it looks like a hard line on the tornado camo.
  8. ideal. Will give it a go. I could do with getting a better airbrush really.
  9. Thanks for the input, its appreciated. I normally completely cover the plane in one colour and then mask out the other colour for the camo. Obviously I cant do this now, otherwise it wont show through as much on the second colour?
  10. I have watched a video on youtube and the guy said not to worry about accuracy with the black lines. Hopefully in this case, it should be ok. Will see how it goes when I start adding the camo colours.
  11. As I previously mentioned, this is my first attempt model getting back in to it recently. Harrier GR3 1/24. I was happy with how it came out, although there was a lot I would do differently.
  12. Hello all, I am currently in the process of building a tornado GR1 1/32 scale, which I am going to use to try out new things (to me). I have primed the plane outer and have just attempted to black the panel lines. This is my first attempt at it and struggled to get it accurate with my airbrush 😕. Does this sort of thing look ok for the panel lines? it just looks messy to me?! I am planning to also use this plane to practice weathering, which I have never done previously. What is the next stage for laying on the camo scheme? Do I apply it thinner, so it shows the lines through? I would appreciate anyones help in this process. Thanks Nick
  13. I will take a look at that one as well then 👍
