  1. It is brilliant and I should know since I helped out with walkaround photographs and advice. Lukasz is a very talented man and he put a lot of effort in this kit!
  2. I almost thought the first picture was of the real aircraft. That is a true testimony to your modelling skills!
  3. That you Moa I like those racers a lot! I have more resin racers in my stash that I will build in the future. Thank you for your kind words!
  4. Thank you It is the second resin kit I started but I botched the paint job on the other model twice... Alclad Aquaglos attacked the paint in one spot only on that model and the paint was Tamiya acryl so I never understood why that was... after decapitating the paint I broke some parts so it is in a box till I feel like tackling it again. Thank You
  5. Thank you! Indeed it is an unusual machine but that is always what attracts me with a model!
  6. Hi fellow modellers, I finally was able to finish SBS 1/48 Resin kit Caudron C.450 my first full resin kit and the fourth model I finished since coming back to the hobby. It ended almost up under my foot when on the last moment the Valleyo varnish let go on a small spot on top of the wing while I was trying to polish out the grainy appearance of that varnish. I changed for Tamiya X-22 with 50% levelling thinner and that did the trick. Euh… that means after several layers of varnish and polishing to make the spot invisible where the Valeyo varnish had let loose. The kit itself went together fairly easy and as there was not much of a cockpit interior so I decided to close the canopy. I like it more like that and the canopy was thick resin and I did not feel like thinning it. So as with any model I finished I learned a lot.. the blue paint is Humbrol Gloss 14. And I had forgotten what problems enamel had.. a long drying time and lots of dust before it was dry. So spray, polish spray, polish.. and then I wanted to paint the metal plate on the underside. and what did I take out of habit.. MRP .. luckily I had put tape around the plate because the blue came of very fast… If you want to remove enamel no need for paint remover, just spray a thin layer of MRP that does the trick… J I love MRP but you cannot spray it over enamel and yes I knew it but habits you know... I took the photographs in low light so they are not the best but I hope you like it. Take care and keep safe!
  7. Very very nice! Takes me back to the old airfix version I once build.
  8. Nicely done! I messed up the paint job on the red one, actually it was not the paint but the glos I sprayed on. The paint reacted badly, so I had to strip the paint. Used other paint that did not dry so stript the paint again. Broke the pitot and tailskid and put the lot in a box sigh...
