  1. Wow it looks fantastic I am looking forward to the next series of photographs! So much work done in so little time wow again!
  2. That would be a nice choise If I would chose an Early jet to model it would be the Bristol 188 with its different schades of stainless steel.
  3. Indeed that is good to hear. I was going to ask them photographs of the kit parts before parting with any cash So the answer you got answers the questions that I had too. C’ant wait to see the kit
  4. Incredible work! I build vacuforms 20 years ago but I never would have dared to start a project like this. You are a master builder
  5. Here is a screen print of the discussion. First he answers my question about the Caudron 450 and then he answers my question about the 3D print and what they want to do with the Macchi: That said you can easily contact them yourself if you have Facebook and Messenger. They are generally quick to reply. You can find the link to messenger on the page in my previous post. The more people that let them know that they are interested in the Mc72 the more they are likely to go ahead with it!
  6. They have not put a preorder page online at the moment. The text I quote is from a discussion via Messenger I had with them. They did not make this information public on their website as yet. They wil do it the same way as they did for the Caudron 450 in 1/48 Scale. That is they will put a form online where people can make their intrest in a 1/48 Scale Macchi Mc 72 known . They need a minimum number of people interested before they will commit to start work on it. For the Caudron 450 in 1/48 Scale the minimum number was 60 to 70 people who filled in the online form if I am not mistaken. On this page you can read how they did it with the Caudron 450 : https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2345063858847328&id=117380071615729
  7. There are precious few usefull walkarounds on the Macchi Mc 72, here is a little series : https://walkaround.rajce.idnes.cz/Macchi_MC.72/ http://www.bastelwolf.de/walkaround/mc_72/mc_72.html A real pity yes.. I used to do my own walk arounds and I had a walkaround site. But I never got to Italy to do those fantastic racers. I did give a series of over 200 detailed shots of the Hawk 75 to Julien and he posted them in the walkarounds. If I ever get to Italy near that museum I would do a large series If there are any Italians on this forum who live naar the museum of Vigna di Valle feel free to go and do a walk around and be sure to share it here
  8. Yes they put out that test shot and I was waiting on further news. I send them an email to ask them if the Caudron 450 would be ready for Telford as I fillled in their online document and at the same time I asked them about the Macchi Mc72. And they replied with this: first reply on the Caudron 450 : Hello, Yes, we already started. I will make a statement on FB next week. The plan is to have it in hands in November Then they replied on my question about the Macchi. I mentioned the testshot they did on a 3D printer: The Macchi is also planned, but very big work. We want to do it next year I think the same way as Caudron. If there is enough pre-orders, we will launch. I said I thaught the Macchi Mc 72 would be a great succes and they replied this : May be yes. The problem is the surfaces, we cannot print and need to hire a true high-end printer. So the retail would be almost 100 EUR. Not sure we can sell a lot. So it will depend on the preorders...
  9. For 1/48 Scale you might be right but maybe it can be done in the larger scales. So we wil have to wait and see what solutions are possible here. Regarding the colour of the radiators it can depend on the colour of the ambient light and/or the lack of light when the photograph was taken. I found this photograph of the Mc72 on the web and the radiators seem to be shiny here so I think we can assume its the same for the M39
  10. On the larger Scale models those radiators can be represented by PE. I have both the Macchi M39 and the Gloster VI in 1/24 Scale Resin from Profil24 and the radiators are really big slaps of PE. Is that possible with al the detail in 1/48 Scale? It wil make those kits a lot more expensive....
  11. What you say is true! Al the Schneider Trophy racers with those flush wing mounted radiators pose a challenge!
  12. Nice aircraft but the rigging held me back so I will follow with intrest
  13. I am very interested in the Macchi Mc72 and so will follow this build with intrest but will hold out untill next year myself since SBS is planning to do the Macchi Mc72 in 1/48 Scale in 2020. They intend to put a document online where people who are interested can leave their details. The same they did for the Caudron. But it will be more expensive, they were thinking about 100 euro. Apparently the surface with the radiators gives problems and they need to hire a true high end printer(their words)
  14. They will accept reservations for models, this is what they said in one of their e-mails: We are also currently working to make credit card payment option available, which we plan to see in service in October. Please be noted that we will not officially start pre-orders until credit card payments are available. And yes, we will send kits to Belgium as the rest of the world, where we already have modellers who asked us to reserve kits for them. The pre-order period has not yet started and officially announced on our website to start in October, however you may have your copy/copies reserved if you like, without having to make any payments at the moment. Please let us know if you choose to do so. You will receive a reminder email before the pre-orders start.
  15. I send them an e-mail yesterday and they replied swiftly. They will only open preorders for the Skystreak when the payment by creditcard will be availlable. That said, they told me that you can ask that they reserve a copy of the model you want to be sure you get it. They will only produce 500 copies of each model. I do not think those 500 models wil be sold out before they get to the preordering stage but since you do not have to pay or give them additionel Info I reserved the Skystreak and the Trident.
  16. Hi Miguel, So you are the one that made that did this fabulous build I did see photographs of this build and they inspired me! I did not see the WIP before though and it is very interesting. Especially your use of the different shades of red! Unusual models are what I like too so in the past I build a lot of vacuform kits, that was the only way to get those unusual models in the past. I only started building again last year after a more than 10 year spell of inactivity and the first model I completed is here : I still went to club meetings so I was not completely out. I did not want to lose contact with my friends who in some cases I knew for more than thirty years. So we share a love for the unusual Do I love resin kits... I will have to find out. I do have 4 resin kits in the stash, two I got as a gift from my friends who wanted to get me building again(the SBS models). SBS 1/72 scale models : "De Havilland DH-88 Comet" and the "Latecoere 28-3 'Comte de la Vaulx" Profil24 1/24 scale resin kits : "Macchi M39 winner of the Schneider cup of 1926" and the "Gloster VI Racer build for the Schneider cup of 1929" So we will soon see if I like Resin kits or not... Just wanted to ask, that base plate is it wood? very nice, gives a touch of class!
  17. I had the choice between the Mikro Mir kit and the Italian kit. The resin kit was more than twice as expensive and I had read that it was not so easy to build either. Might be more correct scale wise though.. Till now I did not find any review about the Micro Mir kit and its hard to see the problems in the plastic bag so I bought it but as you I am disappointed...
