  1. Thank you for your kind comments. Yes there are lots of fit problems, I would not build a second one.
  2. Thank you ☺️. It is not wel known but it was important for the Polish pilots who flew it against the odds!
  3. Thank you for your nice comment. When I have the right documentation I always try to complete the cockpit as much as I can.
  4. Hi guys, it has been a long time since I last finished a kit, I started this one early in 2022 and thought I could finish it before we had to move because we were going to renovate our house but I could not get it done then... And so the kit went into a storage box until summer of 2023. The kit is not without its faults, if you want the canopy and the side canopy partially open you have to remove quite a thick slice of plastic in front of the windscreen because otherwise the 3 parts (Windscreen, side windows and back windows) will not fit. The underside poses its own problems, when you attach the wings the fuselage sticks out leaving a large gap that you need to patch with plastic card. I do not remember exactly how large it was but I think I had to build it up with at least 1cm long pieces of plasticard. It took a long time to get a smooth transition. Because I had spilled MRP thinner over the wings just when it was almost ready, the decals were damaged and some surface detail as well, so I needed to build some scratch build pieces for the covers on the wings, and since I did not find other French decals in 1/32 scale, I decided to make a German version. The Germans used a number of captured Caudrons as decoys for a short time. French markings were overpainted with swastikas. I used the excellent Stratus' Caudron-Renault CR.714 Cyclone: The ultimate story as reference. There are two color schemes of Caudrons in German Markings in this book. One in Camouflage and one in French Kaki and that is the one I chose. Some aircraft were delivered in Gris Bleu foncé on the upper surfaces but a number were delivered in Kaki Français. The other camouflage colors were painted when the aircraft were delivered to the base they were assigned to. That is why no two Caudron CR-714 are painted the same. The one in Kaki I chose did not have the other colors applied and the Germans overpainted the French markings and the Polish one at the sides. I used Gris Bleu foncé for that since it would have been available on the base. So it is not what it could have been but at least it is finished. Here are some shots of the interior with a lot of scratch build parts. I could not get the colour of the French Kaki to match in the photographs so in reality the color is a bit more greenish. Take care
  5. Hi I read your offer of the drawings, would it be possible that I could receive a copy too? I have the kit in the stash too!
  6. Beautiful work! I have the same kit and your build is an inspiration for me!
  7. The windshield is difficult I rebuild the base of it based on my walkaround photographs.
  8. Hello Mike I just saw your message sorry I was absent from Britmodeller for a while. Preparing a renovation of our house. that said I used nylon fishing wire. For this I drilled holes in the appropriate places in the lower wings but not entirely thru the wing. I drilled holes right thru the upper wing. I should mention that I had painted the lower wing and the underside of the upper wing before attaching the wires. I then glued one end of the wires in the lower wing with some superglue, when that was I pulled the wire thru the holes on the upper wing, attached weights to the wires to pull them tight and filed the holes with the wires with superglue. After drying I cut of the rest of the wire and sanded the superglue flush with the wing, then I painted the upper wing. Hope this helps!
  9. Nice work! I just had the Novo boxing of this kit in my hand on Monday.
  10. Beautifull work! Have it in the stash with the extras you used to.
  11. Nicely done! I actually have one made by Novo in he stash. No box, must have been one of their first testshots. Great work!
  12. Very nice work on this kit! Truly outstanding! I have it in my stash too.
  13. Well that’s MikroMir for you 😬 I build their Piaggio pegna Pc.7 and had the same experience. I had to restrain myself from putting my foot on it. You really did a good job on it, it looks fabulous so you did great!
  14. It does, I did not build for 10 years but then started again a couple of years ago. And my stash grew exponentially since then. 😅
  15. Amazing thread, that black Hunter was ik fact the first model I ever got. Must be 50 years ago…
