  1. I like your interior and I had the same problem with the front end. I had to use a candle light to warm and true up the left side.A little filler on the underside joint while I had the engine dry fitted to make sure and it wasn't perfect but they didn't make them perfectly is my excuse but your right the engine does pull it all together my friend
  2. I would love to be in on this. My favourite thing that can not so often now be seen in the skies is a P51 or a Mustang
  3. sorry about the tamiya tape, making a little progress. Really not feeling it with this build as I had such high expectations . It is a good kit but the way they have made the instructions is challenging lol and it is a kit that needs time and mods to make it a super model. That said I will finish her and I'm sure when more comes together I will feel it again. Cheers my friends Joel
  4. You can see that this man is about to fight for his life and the anger that he must summon upon to survive is captured at this moment in time. For me you have truly got it across in your painting. Great work my friend Joel
  5. so only a couple more decals to make, sort the tires out(clean up mould split line) and make the plinth or diorama base and jobs a done. I've been scratching my head about the plinth or diorama setting so any ideas are very much appreciated and can you see anything I may have missed or can change my friends. Many thanks Joel
  6. so started engine and the frame yesterday afternoon, no problems apart from the instructions lol. The moulding is very good and parts fit nicelyas I mentioned with dechromeing(is that a word lol) I am left with this other layer, you can see the clear to off white plastic underneath, no idea what this layer is but I have seen some horrible results of people trying to remove it, I will micromesh the parts before undercoat and hopefully it will have no ill effects later in life of the model(I am getting on a bit so I won't see it if it does happen lol). Cheers friends and if anyone does know about this layer please pass it on to me and other modellers my thanks Joel
  7. The chrome parts with this model have another layer of unknown underneath which I've not yet removed, I'm looking on the Internet as we speak on how to remove this and have seen people basically melting the plastic so I will stop where I am. I will post pics of how they look(orange lol) I think you can see the orange colour in the previous picture but that is another layer as I can scratch it with my nail
  8. so here are some of the sprue from the Heller Ty 125 kit. The are very nicely moulded. In stead of vinyl tube you get a vinyl sprue(black) for the cables that have to be held in place between the parts they connect to rather than pushed on. The bottom pic(figure 10) shows how you make the 2 rear shocks using the piece of wire and the jig, nice but I will see how they turn out before probably dipping into my toolroom box of springs. Looks like a very good kit so let's get started with the piston head fins which are a separate parts a nice touch remove the horrible chrome from the wheels and other parts and set up my nice little compressor and airbrush
  9. Hi Dennis mate, I don't know how well it shows up on my BF109 build pics but I used mig ammo light blue. How do you find the mig ammo airbrush paints I think they are a god send, no smell easy to clean up and dry smooth as silk. I did find their RLM 02 a bit to green so I mixed it 50/50 with the light blue to achieve what I considered the right RLM 02 colour
  10. so I finally got the Yamaha decals from Studio27, worth the wait because I feel it just makes it. Got lucky with my paint work "size wise". I am over the moon how it has turned out I must admit. Thanks again for tips and great support my friends. Will finish and post completed model as soon as possible cheers Joel
  11. just got myself a new project as well as the F15 restoration. Busy boy I will be
  12. Great build. Been looking into the magnets for display and in the build process like tamiya for engine cowls
  13. I got a feeling it may be my next project after the F15 restoration, thanks my friends
  14. I wonder if there is a small water trap if needed. I have seen the same type of thing for nails and cake spraying. They have no guts if you know what I mean
  15. I gave it to my dad and he done the paint work but I'm thinking taking it right back, not that he done a crap job just I want to make her mine again and give her a new life and splendour
  16. keen eyed people will notice the bottom of the forks and how I've moded them(is in previous pics) getting so close to the finish line with what has to be my favourite build. Not hard work if you love what you are doing and you have good people giving nice advice (thanks my friends) I've really enjoyed looking into it and changed my mind mid way because all I've seen are the norm white ones. Bob hurricane Hanna didn't ride this year of bike cc wise but it wouldn't stop some body making a replica as ive seen in photos so I think that gives me license to do so in this build. Thanks again Joel
  17. let's see what we can do with this that I started years ago. a special edition kit from Eduard. I've lost most of the resin parts so it won't be from the box. Any ideas my accomplices
