  1. Enough of the old tooling Airfix1/48 Bucc talk already please, lets move on! I have built one and have another in stash I wont be letting go, if I can manage to put one together semi-decently and even with splayed horizontal split fuselage soft plastic run halves, anyone can ... my modelling build talents are dire compared to many I see on here Seriously though ... I wonder if this new Airfix 1/48 Bucc will have that horizontal fuselage split too? that might be problematic in future too ?? time will tell I suppose, have not seen any sprue shots yet. But these are just minor details, apart from price that I think is fair enough, most people have received this release very well indeed, its perhaps the most popular most posted and discussed of Airfix's 2022 line up here on BM's rumourmonger forum. So looking forward to this, really am 💥
  2. If the old moulds are damaged beyond repair they will likely be scrapped now or soon? I'll hang on to my original Airfix 1/48 Bucc then as well as buying four of this new one.
  3. I'm going to buy 4, we only live once, this hobby is actually quite cheap compared to many and indeed some others I do.
  4. Hi, just looked and some amazing models there but it says not for sale? Whats the deal with this? on link where it does say model, it looks like some resin or 3D parts to adapt existing kits from Tamiya ETC to these exotic versions, is that the case? still do not see a way to buy though? Would buy some of these in a heart beat if I could.
  5. Noticed that, did the Hellcat and Typhoon come with a pilot? I'll still buy one though.
  6. I think thje Bucc price is fair considering less A/M will be needed, an average price for an average tooling and average amount of A/M would be much more expensive, mine will be OOB and I'll love building it that way.
  7. Wow, another not my scale comment here, but I will get one just because its a Spit and new tool, is there likely to be a short production run and sell out quick do you guys think? or best to pre-order now ?? Video wont play for me, wonder if the wings can be built like that ... spars and ribs? if so the wing panels would need to be very thin, or perhaps optional to do it that way? Love the choice of markings too, are the modern large scale Airfix decals up to speed these days, am sure there will be plenty A/M ones though. Nice one Airfix, seems fairly priced too for this scale and level of detail, hope they do a new tool 109 next.
  8. Just read the Airfix email. good lord ... are they suggesting a possibility of an Airfix 1/24 TSR2? That was my first thought when I read their email update hint esque type thing LOL. I guess not, but hints there are something for everyone in all their favourite scales, so maybe, just maybe, they will do a new tool 1/24 Spitfire MK 1 or other version as a lot of folk here wish for, not my fave scale, but I'd buy one., it sure could kickstart their 1/24 series again, then follow with the 109 and so on and so forth. Just thinking aloud
  9. I would love to see an Airfix new tool Short Stirling in 1/72, would rather it be in my preferred scale of 1/48 but that's not going to happen ever I imagine Built an Airfix 1/72 Stirling as a kid, many moons and decades ago, cant see it being worth finding an original with good decals now, and also I'm spoilt these days with new release toolings and not needing to sand raised panels and re-scribe, just dont have that kinda patience any-more I'm afraid ... its good to be good fitting parts for me now, arthritic hands do not like sanding. Just something about the Stirling I like, looks and history wise. As far as I know for one our main bombers of WW2, no real existing ones are left, really would like Airfix to do a new tool one.
  10. The EVH Wolfgang STD arrived for Christmas from Guitar Guitar UK, thanks to all who contributed to thread, it will be a Tele next time for sure. I love it and the MXR Phase 90, have a few guitars now, this is my new go to one for practise. Thanks again folks, Merry Christmas all.
  11. Thanks guys, had to order in time for Christmas, it will be a Tele next time for sure for my Guitar stable. Those links from Scan, none were in stock so looked elsewhere and had made my mind up needed another guitar at this point, had bought from Guitar Guitar UK store before, so went looking there and bought a nice EVH Wolfgang std in green, also an EVH MXR Phase 90 pedal too ... used to own an original MXR Phase 90, highly regarded pedals back in the day, it will be fun to try it out again. Thanks for the help. this is what i need am sure Review here.
  12. I know its OT, but I know we have other guitarists here too. Its actually for myself, its been a crap year, some deaths in family, 2021 really has been my annus horriblus in lots of ways and looked at my balance, it seems I can afford a treat and maybe in time for Christmas delivery cheer, do enjoy guitar playing though and while far from expert, want to add one more Guitar to my collection this year if possible. My Choices are between these two, really am torn. Have a couple of good Fender Strats and precision Bass, but always fancied a good Fender Telecaster too, for looks it would be a Blonde one, simple and pure, used to follow Status Quo in my early teens, Iconic guitar and sound, but double single coil pick ups or the the ones with Bridge humbuckers? Have a hankering towards the late great Eddie Van Halen too, and he designed a great guitar series that seems irresistible to me ... really am leaning to one. What do you think Guitarists of Britmodeller? know I should really buy from a proper music shop, but have some credit to spend at Scan.co.UK The Telecaster option I'm considering ... and EVH model below it. https://www.scan.co.uk/products/fender-player-telecaster-alder-body-maple-neck-maple-fingerboard-and-2-single-coil-pickups-buttersco https://www.scan.co.uk/products/evh-wolfgang-wg-standard-exotic-midnight-sunset
  13. Very cool, this is what I need to be doing, maybe next year, hope to see more pics as fill out the interior.
  14. Early Spitfires, 109's and Harriers for me every time.
  15. Thanks Mike, have tried again, slightly different format they have now that confused me for a bit, but yep, its still a good usable site for free pic hosting.
  16. Not used it in a couple of months, can log in OK but when i go to my stored pic area or even try to upload new ones get an error message, any one else getting this? This kinda service is something a lot of us use here and sometimes take for granted, hope its just a blip and they are not going the way of Photo Bucket.

    Ebay!!!!!!

Lasted posted here on this topic in May this year when I heard Ebays new rules, they seemed grim to me and others at the same time, so what's the general consensus now in later November folks, is it safe to sell kits there again? get paid immediately before sending or wait, really cant imagine me doing that any-more again? I'd like to go back to Ebay selling again for kits, buying was never a problem, but just don't know what to do just now for selling? Britmodeller itself is excellent for buying and selling, had 99.9% percent success rate here and happy to do this again, but if something wont shift, perhaps might need to use Ebay again? Just looking for feedback on how those Ebay changes have panned out and if anyone's changed their mind about selling there again. Cheers
  18. Upgraded my VR Flight sim capability today, dabbled on and off with Oculus Rift Virtual Reality, some sims look better than others, DCS looks awesome, but with the higher resolution HP Reverb G2, its a big jump in resolution and losing screen door effect and even motion sickness some folk get and all important refresh rate too, still far from perfect IMHO ... but we're getting there. DCS Apache landing soon, this is going to be immense 👍
  19. I'll have one those please, if they are going down the WW2 quality route as WnW did with WW1, then I hope next one is a 109 E, would buy several so I would.
  20. Really getting to grips with my Virpil collective now, its adjusting to normal throttle use is a bit tricky still though. Really looking forward to DCS: AH-64D Apache module.
  21. Now I can get serious with DCS Hind, Huey and forthcoming Apache. Quality bit of kit for sure, Had ordered Virpils sort of universal desk chair mount but never needed it, found a better mounting solution with my existing Monstertech HOTAS chair mounts with some spares I had already. Its getting a bit of getting used to, pulling up to lift rather than pushing forward on my TM Warthog throttle, but I'll get there. Have a long mount curved central style helicopter cyclic style stick that can be clamped or UN-clamped in seconds for this whirly bird stuff Some pics on my model bench after unpacking and then on my sim chair.
