    Need a Name

@Tzulscha and here's your bar sign!
  2. @cngaero Sadly, Roger passed away in late September / early October 2019 after losing his fight with ill health. The Gentleman was, I'm glad to say a member of the North Riding Club, sadly he only managed a few visits. He knew the score, that's why there was never a Volume IV planned, as he knew he'd never get it finished. Paul (Sec.) North Riding
  3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-york-north-yorkshire-34196691 Not going to mention what the one in Cumbria's called by the locals.............
  4. Afternoon Dave @Bbdave, this one is a little left field! Depending where in Devon you are, you could make contact with British Model Soldier Society. Remembering, of course, you'd be selling to individuals rather than the club as a whole. If your in the East or North of the County I would suggest the Bristol branch:- For details contact the Area Representative on 01257 851980 or see the Branch website at: www.bmssbristol.org.uk If your more Central / South or West I would suggest the Devon branch:- Plymouth Scout Centre, Blindmans Wood, Manadon, Plymouth PL3 5TB. First Friday of each month. For details contact the Area Representative on 01752 556811. Seem to remember, in discussion with a member? at the Plymouth show a couple of years ago, a figure modelling club in Exeter but the name and venue are lost in sleep I'm afraid. Hope this is of some use? Paul, Chief Cat herder North Riding.
  5. @Gondor44 An alternative would be a suede brush, or, if you need real heavy duty, try a wire brush.
  6. @Black Knight similar for place names ending in 'ton', meaning 'an enclosed space' this is also from the Angles, Saxons and Jutes
  7. @Stef N., word to the wise, P&S close all day Wednesday at both sites......unless someone knows different?
  8. There's always Spook Erection, not too funny but seen with the company flag........................ Naughty, naughty!
  9. Afternoon @Weedlesketch, quick answer, no. Reason, it contains wax, the original Klear didn't. There is another product within the SC Johnson range that is closer, or the product from 'Lakeland' called shine, which has had favorable reviews, apart from it's price! Still cheaper than you can get original Klear for........... HTH Paul
  10. Appears mad, doesn't it. BUT! you knew there was going to be one..........as Vat 69 is bottled for 'export' that's the reason you can't just take a gentle, three mile stroll, and pick up a couple of bottles at the factory gates. It's to do with duty or more specificaly HMRC. For export, the duty is either very low or nil. Still daft though!
  11. Here ya go Steve @steve4428 have a look here:- https://fieldsofglorymodels.co.uk/collections/vendors?q=DEF models# scroll down about a third of the page, the seated crew are on the left side of the page. HTH Paul
  12. Eee, I'll go to the foot of our stairs! Our Frank @bentwaters81tfw in pre crop lockdown mode, did thee run out of razor blades as well.........
  13. Afternoon @Gondor44 can't state if either of the kits is right or wrong, but the Hawk 100 'family' only shares 10% commonality with the Hawk T1. Changes included the nose, centre section and wings, aft fuselage, flying surfaces and fin! My thinking it was probably a case of 'jack up windscreen, roll in new aircraft, change windscreen!'
  14. @tnuag just a quick one, is the Cuckoo still within the timeframe you set yourself? Paul
  15. @tnuag Neil, I'll have a word with one of our members and find out what he has on the ground handling trolleys for WE177. He used to 'play' with 'buckets full of sunshine' while he was in the RAF. Paul
  16. Just my take. Have never tried Readly but have had magazines via Magster. Personally, I'd recommend you try 'Pocketmags'. Why? I found the download of Magster to be a little 'clunky' and it didn't do as expected. Pocketmags gives me what I want. If your downloading to a tablet, download the Pocketmag app, rather than the individual magazine app, as they do use a fair amount of space on the SD card. HTH Paul
  17. Yeah, RIGHT! Remember, I've seen quite a lot of your builds, down at Telford. Now if you want a serial starter, look no further than ME!
  18. Afternoon Tom, @Tomjw just a suggestion, have you had a look at Swann Morton? They do a range of flat, narrow, chisel type blades. If you need something more substantial, have a look here:- https://www.hobbies.co.uk/veritas-3-piece-miniature-chisel-set See ya next Saturday!
  19. Hi Pete, @PeterB Oh dear! Don't know then, unless you follow the route Dennis suggests. I'm sure somebody will come up with an idea? Paul
  20. Pete, @PeterB you could always hit the "home" button, top left hand side, that'll take you back to 'Main Menu' and also refresh the site. NO guarantees, but might be worth a try. Paul
  21. Just to give this a lift! Conformation that the meeting for the 22nd May, baring major changes, is ON.
  22. Hi Chris @cngaero the answers YES! Got my electronic notice 22nd April. Paul

Hi and welcome Steve @Steve147 I can't help with your colour question but you could do worse than having a look here:- http://www.aviationofjapan.com/ Be aware you WILL be some time! Have fun. Paul
  24. Err, not neccesarily, being dependant on who own's the car park. If it's owned by the supermarket even if parking is overseen by a third party company, it's classified as 'private property'. Providing no one is injured the police will not be able to prosecute, provided the parties involved have reported the accident (legal requirement), your only recourse will be to take out a private prosecution. As for the insurance company, if it's NOT reported to them, it DIDN'T happen. There is nothing in law that says you have to report any accident to your insurers, ask me HOW I know.......... As @Black Knight said I know we all call every other driver on the road, to fast, too slow, fail to indicate.....you get the picture. Why add to it, just take the moral high ground, remove your vehicle. A spoon of sugar goes a LOT further than a gallon of vinegar.
