  1. Hello from another new member in the USA!
  2. I've always been partial to the iconic green and grey camo on the British Harriers, but I have to admit that light grey paint scheme on the Spanish Harrier is really beautiful. I think it may be due to your subtle weathering, combined with the contrast of the overall grey and the bright red and yellow roundels. Really beautiful!
  3. I've got a Navy Cougar in my queue, so I'm very interested in how you are doing the dark sea blue paint scheme on your model.
  4. Beautiful work on that cockpit and seat! I'll be following to see how the rest goes.
  5. I really like the overall look of this camo scheme. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product.
  6. Back a number of years ago, the last time I was actively involved in building model planes, it seemed like doing vacuformed replacement canopies was almost a requirement for "serious" modelers. For the last couple weeks I've been reading things here on Britmodeller, though, I have not seen anyone mention doing vacuformed canopies in their build or finished threads. Might that be something worth doing to make your cockpit detailing more visible? Or is it not practical for the clear parts on this model?
  7. I really like that camo scheme. Its not one I've seen before and you really did a great job on it.
  8. Really beautiful plane and a really nice job on assembling and painting. I've got the Airfix F2.A version sitting on my work table waiting for me. Looking at your F6 I may have to add a second Lightning to my collection once I finish the first one. 😉
  9. An absolutely fascinating subject. I was actually looking at this model, but even in 1/72 I just don't have room to display it properly. I'll have to live vicariously though your build, instead! 😉
  10. I love these old jet fighters. I'll be following this one.
  11. Very dedicated effort on this model! I've got one of the newer (?) Airfix Lightning F.2A models sitting on my work table waiting for me, so I hope it won't be as hard to put together as your's!
  12. NASA also offers free paper models of a number of their space probes. https://science.nasa.gov/kids/the-universe/universe-spacecraft-paper-models
  13. Really nice job on an interesting subject. Even though my main interest tends towards early jet fighters, I've always found this contemporary UAV a fascinating subject.
  14. An interesting if sad background on this plane, but you have done a lovely job on it. The weathering is really first rate!
  15. A really beautiful looking build! Excellent assembly and paint job. As far as photos, I think the first two with the grey and white backgrounds show off the plane best. The one's with the black backgrounds seem a bit dark and its harder to appreciate the finer details.
  16. You really seem to have brought out the very best in this kit! The overall completed model is really beautiful. I had the idea of doing the B-57 in bare metal somewhere down the line but now I'm tempted to follow your example and go the black night bomber route. Well done!
  17. Welcome! You have some nice looking models in your opening post. I look forward to seeing more of your work.
  18. A really lovely job on this model. I've actually had my eye on this particular kit but was unsure if I wanted to give it a try. I think your photos have me convinced to buy it now!
  19. A really beautiful model! The construction looks very clean and the paint job appears excellent in the photos.
  20. Really nice work on this kit! I'd never suspect this was a "bargain" priced model because you did such a great assembly and paint job.
  21. I generally like operational paint schemes, but I agree something like this makes a great subject for a break from camo and bare metal. Really nice job, too!
  22. Really nice work on that model, and I love the back story on your choice of markings. Stuff like that really helps bring the model alive.
  23. I just picked up the same kit last week, so looking at your beautiful build is really inspiring me to get to work on my own model!
  24. This is probably the best build of the B-58 kit I've ever seen. The bare metal pain job looks fantastic and the work on the open hatches and interior details really takes it to the next level.
  25. I always liked the looks of the A-4 and hope to get one done some day. I hope you'll be feeling better soon!
