  1. Beautiful work on that F-8C! The Irishman in me particularly likes the paint job you chose!
  2. I've always been fascinated by the X-Planes so I'll be following this build with interest!
  3. A really lovely build! I especially like the versions of the Skyhawk with the avionics "hump" but they seem to be hard to find in 1/72 (at least, I have not run across one for sale, yet!).
  4. Whoa! That is one sexy fighter! A really clean, beautiful job on assembling and painting that lovely thing.
  5. That's a really nice model of a fascinating subject. I was always intrigued by the Surcouf since the first time I ran across a description of her. I think your work in separating the gun mount and canting it slightly is a really nice touch and helps draw the eye to this unique feature of the submarine. The observation plane also adds a nice bit of color to the display.
  6. Really great job on this Harrier! The paint job and weathering are looking fantastic! I've got one of these same kits in my little stash pile, so your model is really inspiring me to up my game when I get around to building it.
  7. Really lovely model, and I agree with Latinbear that your "haveglass" paint job is really amazing! I've taken some notes on what you did in case I ever get around to doing an F-35 of my own.
  8. A very nicely done 'Streak in an unusual but attractive livery! Well done. 👍
  9. The whole cockpit is looking good, but those seats are especially nice! Hard to believe they are only 1/72 scale!
  10. A very timely RFI posting! I've got a the same model sitting next to my hobby table, and just recently bought the Vallejo Model Air (USAF Colors) paint set! Your completed model is really inspiring, and I hope mine will look half as good!
  11. That cockpit does not look like its from a 1/72 scale model! That's real "super-detailing" for sure! The research and work you are putting into this build are really inspiring.
  12. Excuse my ignorance but could you explain this? I've heard of using bits of stretched sprue to help fill in especially big gaps, but this technique is a new one to me. Thanks!
  13. A very interesting discussion on interior colors, given the Tamiya F-84G model in my queue.
  14. I guess my knowledge of the Century Series is still a bit spotty. I dint know the Thud had a bomb bay. I'll just have to do some more reading, I suppose.
  15. Really nice job on this kit! This is a model I want to tackle one of these days so its always a treat to see someone else doing one.
  16. The Thunderchief was not the only plane originally designed as a fighter that found its niche as a bomber. For example, during the Korean war when the F-84 was quickly shown to be outclassed by the Mig-15 as a fighter, it was used as a strike aircraft instead, a role it was much more successful in.
  17. Looks like you are off to a good start on a fun project! I look forward to seeing your progress.
  18. Fascinating aircraft, the V-bombers! Your Victor turned out really beautifully. I've seen all three of the V-bombers on the online auction site on a regular basis, and I am so tempted to pick up all three but I just don't know where I would display such large models.
