Airfix Victor 1/72, A Slightly Tired Machine
mdauben replied to Adam Poultney's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Beautiful model of a beautiful bomber. Even though I have no idea where I could display such a big model, I'm still tempted to build one!- 19 replies

1/48 Revell (Monogram) B-58A Hustler plus goodies!
mdauben replied to Icarus's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
Wow! That's a big 'un! Not my scale, but I love the Hustler so I'll follow anyway! -
Perhaps, but it looks like the intakes open directly onto the front turbine. From what I have read the rotating front of the engine is a major source of radar return. Don't the F-117 and F-22 both have bends in their air intakes to prevent that?

You are really progressing on this model. Can't wait to see more. -
Really nice looking model! I don't think I've seen a Phantom in that paint scheme before.

What an amazing collection! I've always been fascinated by the X-Planes and hope to add a few to my own collection some day.

Really looking forward to Airfix USA actually sending the kit I pre-ordered from them.

Wonderful job! I think the British Valiant is right up there with the American Hustler as a couple of the most beautiful jet bombers ever built.

A really nice job on a beautiful bird! I'd never guess it started as such an old, humble kit. -
Thanks for the input on Vallejo Metal Color, reini and Mark22! I hope my efforts turn out as well.

Sea Harriers - 1982 and all that
mdauben replied to CT Modeller's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
A beautiful pair of Sea Harriers! Really nice work on both of them. -
A beautiful job on that CF-104! It looks like the NMF on this plane turned out really nice. Did you experience any particular problems with the Vallejo Metal Color? I picked some up for my next NMF model based on some very positive online reviews, but its always nice to hear from real life users!

Revell HP Victor B1 conversion. Yikes!
mdauben replied to Timmas's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
It seems I jointed for forum some time between your second to last post, and your final completed post so this is my first comment on this build. I'm really impressed with the finished product and everything you did to get there. Its a big, beautiful model and I think you should be proud of it! -

A really lovely job you've done on that plane! -
Probably my all-time, favorite fighter (as you might guess from my forum avatar). I'll be looking forward to seeing how these kits all come together!

Holy Mother Russia! That looks more like a seat I'd expect to see in a 1/32 scale kit. It seems that the 1/72 scale manufacturers really are upping their game!
