  1. And some parts detail photos, Rear fuselage cast parts, Undercarriage parts, Prop/spiner/radiator and canopy/cockpit parts, Wing tips, tailplane and ailerons, Fuselage and wing ribs and stringers, Decals and instructions, Kit Parts size comparison, metal ruler is 30 cm long.
  2. Scale models archaeology, 1/32 scale Rogozarski IK-3 metal kit, produced by Mentor-Modelle company, from Belgrade, Serbia, way down in 1991, not more than 50 produced. Extreme rarity from my friend's Predrag Peggi Stamenkovic's collection (http://aircraft-planet.com/). I was chosen to try to build ( or assemble) this "monster". First , i rendered the box art, how it looks 21 yrs ago. and box today's , real look, "Branilac beograda" means Belgrade defender. Contents of the box, some 500 grams of white metal, pewter, Ofset print foil aluminium...
  3. Well, fuselage is solid cast part, no joint lines, panel lines are not heavier than 1/72 latest Airfix releases, just Macro mode on my digital photo add some deep/wide effect . Anyway, box art states "die cast look", so, this kit should look a little heavy with panels, like metal, die cast models in 1/200 scale.
  4. Tupolev's airframe was sprayed with gray primer, then polished, And first coat of white paint, Now, day or two of drying, and aluminium/silver will be sprayed.
  5. CD contains PDF with assembly instructions, colour schemes and set of AVIOGENEX TU-134a photos, for referrence, and comes with the kit.
  6. Just started work on 1:200 Tupoljev TU-134A3 in Yugoslav Aviogenex livery. Parts removed from the casting film and blocks, Fast and easy, with few drops of superglue, And ready for coat of primer and paint, More pics will follow soon. RGDS Supercuber
  7. After 3-4 years of good work, my BD-180 airbrush became unreliable, making bubles in paint jar. Searching over the internet, find what is the cause and how to solve this problem, bad O-rings should be replaced with new, fresh ones. Bought set of O-rings for BD-180 at local tech store, where the air brush was obtained few years ago, BD-180, dismantled, with old and new O-rings , O-Ring placed in airbrush body, Three new O-rings , on Nozzle, Air Cap body and teflon one, at needle guide, Needle guide mounted, Stopper mounted too , Needle chucking guide and operation(air) lever placed , Nozzle and air cap body screwed , And repair completed, And BD-180 now works like a charm.
  8. JAT (Yugoslav Airlines)- Joke About Time or in French, Jamais A Temps (never on time). Alitalia - Air Line In Tokyo And Luggage In Amsterdam

  10. ZMAJ (license built) Spartan Cruiser II 1/72, YU-SAP , AEROPUT Airlines, Yugoslavia, crashed july 1936, near Ljubljana , now Slovenia. Cheers,
  11. Well, way back in 1978, when i was 14, i build two VEB Sukhoi's , just find some old photos. Certainly, SU-7 deserves another VEB PLASTICART , nostalgic plastic rebuild. Happy modeling,
  12. And final looks, only original white VEB Plasticart stand is missing , but i will find one and replace this "temporary" clear stand. Extremely relaxing and enjoying project, must search for more old VEB kits.
  13. Pilot and navigator cockpits restored, And painted in some Russian cockpit green colour, RATO rockets glued, Clear canopy parts glued with epoxy glue, And some final polishing and pre paint work done, Revell 99 -Aluminium is paint of choice, airbrushed. Search through some old decals stocks gives me DDR markings from Italeri 1/72 AN-2 and some numbering of exact size.
  14. Lets start, with dismantling the whole airframe of this model, I even managed to acquire (thanx DrD) two major "substances" of VEB PLASTICART chemistry, 001 Klebstoff and 002 Farbstoff . Parts are sanded, cleaned and some missing details scratchbuilded, Clear parts are used to produce thermoformed replacement parts, Roughly assembled airframe, Primed with light gray filler, Sanded again, panel lines rescribed and engine nacelles detailed, Klimov VK-1 turbojets ( Rolls-Royce Nene derivative) intake cones scratcbuilded,
  15. Nostalgic plastic or Retro Modeling project. A friend of mine gives me this built model (thanx r2d2), bought at local flea market, and this immediately revive my memories , to my early scale modeling days, back in 1970s. So, meet the VEB PLasticart Ilyushin IL-28, state of the art of DDR scale models production. My intention is to bring it back to some decent look, as should the relict of past times, must looks. This model belongs to bright modeling times, when the rivet counting was not the primary obsession and when i could afford it with some pocket money , skipping few school snacks. Originally, kit was sold in this box , and box contents looks , Will be "accurised" using some Russian drawings scaled to 1:100, downloaded from the web.
  16. Thanx, Mystery solved, F 86 E Sabre main wheels were used, to complete this Hurricane MK IV. Photo found here: http://www.grubby-fingers-aircraft-illustr...walkaround.html
  17. Hi, Visiting Yugoslav Aviation Museum this weekend and was puzzled with this unusual 6 spoked wheel rim at Hawker Hurricane MK IV. Anyone have idea was this standard or just field improvisation during the war? Also, possible aftermarket source for these wheels in 1/32 scale?
  18. Aviation Megastore outlet price (44.95 euros) are from april 2010, a bit of old news, just a price prediction when the work on this kit is announced. Text taken from AEROPOXY site:"Direct order from us, AEROPOXY Model Aviation at : [email protected]" Yes, the export one is the main airframe given by this kit, lot more Gnats were produced without these windows, like Finnish, Yugoslav , Indian and even British, like XN326 . Opening and shaping two small windows should not be a problem for even a medium skilled modeler. AFAIK, RAF never officially have the Gnat in its inventory, all the F.MK Is belongs to Ministry of supply. Happy modelling,
  19. EBAY is not the only option, look at the website "where to buy" page : http://aeropoxy.wordpress.com/where-to-buy/ Regarding price , there is no officially published that Gnat will be 25 EUR. Estimated price published at website was 30-35 EUR. RGDS
  20. Preview of the Spartan Cruiser II 1/72 scale resin kit,
  21. Assembled Folland Gnat F. MK I 1/48 scale resin kit, just for preview.
  22. Spartan Cruiser II 1/72 scale resin kit is finally ready for market, with British G-ACSM decals. Two canopy and undercarriage options, will cover all the Cruisers produced.
