  8. One big, Japanese , exotic plane. Mixed type kit , wings , tailplanes and fuselage are short run injected while small parts are 3d generated and made i suppose in HQT type molds/tools. Less than two months of work, with start and pause work , build photo story. Ignore HPH Helldiver flaps set, it was bonus on this photo Started at 27.7 evening, and continued till end of september, with 3 weeks pause due the problems with my PC , stupidly, by mistake, formated external HDD and spent three+ weeks recovering with DeepDrill app and later sotrting 1TB of data. 95% recovered, so, back to modelling. Wing-Fuse joint, not ptomising, but solved with heavy tools and epoxy glue. Roundells does not wand to cooperate , too thick and brittle, so replaced with airbrush masks. Thanx for watching
  9. In short, the same solution used as on the Macchi C 202, by 145 mm lower propeller axis, keeping the propeller clearance same as with Merlin & Hamilton prop, due to the smaller VDM prop diameter. The oil cooler was retained and the air tunneled in the same style as on the Rogozarski IK-3. The compressor air inlet is in the Ikarus IK-2 style. The forward nose arm of the aircraft and the propeller line is same as on Hurricane. The engine mount points are the same as on the RR Merlin, a new engine mount was made to fit the DB 601. The firewall remained original, as well as the Glycol cooler, which was retained from the Hurricane. There are no preserved drawings, only written statements of the engineers who worked on the project, on the basis of which this reconstruction was made. RGDS

  15. Yeah, i mixed you and Werner indeed. Sorry. Exchanging few e-mails on same subject with you recently, lead me to wrongly reply to you instead of Werner. Yes, Aviation Museum stored ORAO's have 500-600 flying hours only ( of 3000 hrs allowed) and should be overhauled and upgraded to V2 version in next few years, together with some two seater Orao's still in service. Time will tell , will this be sucessful project.
  16. Thx Markus, Regarding ORAO V.2 , its still in test phase, One two seater, serialed 25530 is converted to test plane , packed with new avionics, newly integrated IR and Laser guided rockets and other armament. If these tests completed successfully , several two seaters will be overhauled and upgraded to V.2 version.
  17. Double post, please remove , sorry
  18. Well, in 1993, when we start kit production and considering the name of company , we use "MultiPoxy" epoxy resin (Germany MULTIPLEX company produced) for our kits casting. Being Aeroplane related, name was chosen, AEROPOXY. Just few years ago, found that company with same name, AEROPOXY , ( as @Boss Man also mentioned) was established in USA, producing Aero and marine laminating resins . So, after nearly 30 years of resin kits production weell don't bother with name changing . If this sound's inappropriate in English , even "POXY" was informal word or slang , i can live with this , hoping the rest of the world will not have such allusions.

  20. Displayed replicas , even in full scale, are mostly white, simplified and without external communication and measuring equipment. Real third stage was gray, and landing capsule is as shown on this photo, taken after Gagarin's landing, Thanx for comments,
  21. Within a month , april 12th , it will be a full 60 years since the first manned space flight, so i decide to commemorate this effort with my quick build. Old , good ($@&%@)Veb Plasticart, 1990s in Master Modell boxing, started few months ago, was on hold, but finished in less than week. This is my third VEB Plasticart VOSTOK build. The first was in the late seventies, the second in 1985, the third in the year of COVID 19. The model is basic, with many problems , during the research for story, details and color scheme on obscure Russian sites and forums, I learned that both Revell 1/24 and VEB Plasticart 1/25 were made according to the display model of VOSTOK 1 from the Paris, 1966. show . That full scale Vostok model was exhibited with a third stage segment in white, with a spherical capsule polished to a high gloss aluminium and with all its equipment of military and technological significance removed. In reality, the third stage of the carrier rocket was gray, and the spherical capsule of Vostok 3K # 3 was covered with hexagonal segments of asbestos plates 3-18 cm thick, covered with a thin aluminum sheet. Many other small details were added, service openings on the third stage were printed decals, hexagonal segments were vinyl foil cut on cutter, plastic antennas were replaced by steel wire ones , everything is shown in the following pictures. Original VEB Plasticart box, and Master Modell box, Kit parts and instructions, And work started... And finished model, gallery here: R.F.I. here:
  22. L-13 Blanik Planet Models resin 1/32 Custom printed decals, (home laser, Corel Draw and clear decal paper), cheatlines masked and airbrushed. Why YU-5326 ? My first solo in 1982 was on it.
