  1. All completed ready for inspection Thanks for taking time to look at my builds and commenting on my builds. Any comments or question welcomed
  2. Well almost finished just the canopy to attach and a final coat of klear just to seal it all in and give it a bit more of a gloss finish then its done. Its not been my best build for a while but i am happy with this one and was fun to build Tail corrected
  3. i primered mine with white and one preshaded with a mid grey i added white again to the centre of panels before the yellow was applied which helped with the colour.
  4. Dave i use humbrol lemon yellow but i oost shades with lighter colours to give it depth in centre of panels
  5. Yellow Paint down over a light pre shading to bring out the panel lines photo doesnt do justice to preshading the blackon the tailwas masked prior to yellow going on .I will give a coat of klear then a light colour of oil for the panel wash as these aircraft were kept clean Decals and oil pin wash done

  7. Almost finished just the wheel bay doors to add and a few finishing touches then a flat coat
  8. Dazz i have placed the decals inside the intakes but you cant see them with the undeside colour

A fun weekend build of a very nice small scale kit indeed Preshading roughed out Colourdown over pre shading Top side painted Johnson klear abrushed on and applied a oil wash Main parts all painted just needs details to b painted and ready for decaling Update soon thanks for reading any comments or questions welcome
  11. Italeri do a 1/48 one with theae markings and a few other options its the Hasagawa tooling with new decals its a bit expensive but saw it today in hobby kraft £29.99
  12. I am calling this one finished i am very pleased with how this one turned out. Its all ready to take to my IPMS Club meet tommorow thoughts and comments greatfully recived..
  13. Biggles a 1/48 would bee good although i just got a 1/24 airfix P-51-k CedB all the post shading is tamiya smoke airbrushed

  16. This one is finished but i am a little anoyed with the canopy for sum reason took of the masking and the glass has frosted over so need to get a replacement now glad i didnt glue the canopy down
  17. Thanks winenut i am very pleased with the paint work i used the kit decals with for the yellow leading edge. The paints are all tamiya acylicsthinned with cellulose thinners I might keep this simple just a light panel was with some oil paints.

Here is another one of the new airfix kits i do like these as they are fun builds Cockpit painted black base coat and various shades of cockpit green were added starting with the darkest green and lightening the mix to build up light and shade.Then a wash of burnt umber oils was applied and a moist cotton bud with white spirts was used to wipe away any raised details Panel lines were preshaded and cammo colours we added very slowly and carfully starting in the centre of evey panel and working out and then each colour was nixed with lighter shades of the base coat to add a bit of depth Decals have been added
  19. Wip so far Invasion stripes were masked and airbrushed Camoflage paint added Decals applied after a cote of klear Allmost finished just canopy and undercarradge to add
  20. Very nice well done i made this one a good ten years ago TBH i was also one of my fav kits it also had pride of place in my display.
