  1. Impressive, very impressive. I thought it was Bandai’s foot-long Star Destroyer until the Duracell revealed the true nature of your modelling force. I have one of those small Star Destroyer kits. I’d love to know how you got so many pinpoints of light coming out of it. I can speculate, but I’d love to know how you did it.
  2. You are a true master with the brush. I thought this was 1/48 but, in fact, it is 1/72. The Fw-190 A-8 is one of my favourite aircraft. Your model is a superb scale representation.
  3. Very impressive work. You’ve inspired me. I think I will buy one of those, a recent release has markings for the RAAF.
  4. Very nice work David. Thanks for taking the time to photograph your model so well, and the vintage “prints” are a nice bonus. I am impressed with how integrated the decals look, they look so good I thought you had painted the markings yourself. Keep up the good work.
  5. Excellent work Luca. You’ve set a high standard with your first post. It was a pleasure to review your craftsmanship. Looking forward to seeing other completed builds in due course.
  6. Tim, that’s beautiful work on the metallic finish (and the rest of the build). I am a big fan of this scheme, black fin over all natural metal, because it reminds me of the first model I built as a kid, a Matchbox kit. It’s nice to see what you’ve achieved here, thanks for sharing.
  7. The RAAF camouflage is very good. I had a close up look at one of these aircraft at FighterWorld adjacent to RAAF Williamtown. They are very large aircraft. I was surprised to learn they were originally conceived to operate from aircraft carriers. Your model captures the spirit of this big beauty that faithfully served Australia’s defence force for many years.
  8. Jon, that’s a stunning build. The F-14A is one of my favourite aircraft. There are many things on your build that look very realistic. I agree with the bloke in the Pilot’s seat, this one gets the thumbs up.
  9. Inspirational painting, of both the interior and the exterior of the aircraft. Well done.
  10. Impressive workmanship. A very fine looking model. I like the finish of the metal work around the tail and also the weathering you’ve applied, looks realistic to me.
  11. That certainly looks the part. What an iconic movie!
  12. I agree with Vultures. Whilst it was a time consuming job to assemble the model, mask that beautiful camouflage and apply all the decals, Einar, you have produced an outstanding model of an interesting aircraft.
  13. It is a superb model. Your skill as an artist is also evident in the base which is among the best aircraft bases I have ever seen, and the quality of your photography. I wish there was a few more photos to look at.
  14. That was very pleasing to see, thank you for sharing. The fit and finish is excellent and the paintwork looks very realistic.
  15. An excellent model, finished beautifully. I really enjoyed seeing your workmanship. Thank you for taking the time and making the effort to share it with us.
  16. Keen to find out more I typed #RevellGreyProject into Google and I got this: Your search - #RevellGreyProject - did not match any documents. Have I been suckered? I have wanted a decent 1/48 Blackbird for years. The Testors version just seemed like too much work. I hope Revell smashes this one out of the park and makes an absolute motza. If it makes a few modellers happier that would be nice to.
  17. Well, I am obviously late to the party here. I’ve only just learned about this release but I, for one, am excited about it. I was very impressed with Tamiya’s F-14A, Spitfire Mk 1 and P-38 releases and this looks like it is in the same class. Whilst, to date, I’ve not had much of an inclination to build an F-4B, having a far greater interest in the C, E and EJ versions (thank you Zoukei Mura!), when I saw the test build images I immediately knew I would be adding this to the “buy” queue. So many good releases in the last few years, it’s a great time to be a scale modeller.
  18. I’ve wanted a decent 1/48 OV-10A for years. The 1/32 Kitty Hawk version was excellent, just a bit too big for my tastes. Looking forward to these releases, it’ll be one of everything for me.
