  1. Gah! Well I don't have the time to go wading through upmteen threads to find every shred of possible or confirmed inaccuracies. I did have the Life pics, but for whatever reason the head in shot wasn't part of the ones I found. On the spinner colors, to me they look red with yellow stripes. Ah well, tried my best in the time I allotted to do it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  2. So this isn't the original VY R, but it was a redesignated one, and it did fly in France and over Dunkirk. If you haven't seen the movie yet, GO! So this is depctinf it sort of in between Dunkirk and the BoB. I used the Life magazine pics of no.85 Squadron for reference. This particular bird is showcased. They show a lot of weathering, since it had been in service in France before Op Dynamo, and of course during. 1/48 Airfix, Xtradecals. Turns out the Spitfire inbuilt last year from no.92 Squadron was also a Dunkirk bird, which had a forced landing and was left to rot on the beaches. And all four of my completed Airfix Hurris.
  3. Fantastic! But the paint hasn't been Gunze since 2001😝 I think you mean Mr.Color. Just nitpicking, great work!
  4. Hats why it's a favorite! All the 50s jets though, such classic lines. Panthers/Cougars, Tigers, Thunderjets,etc..
  5. Well, Miss Molly was an F-14A, so...😉 But no, I'm thinking of doing another A from another not often seen squadron. Thanks!
  6. Actually no, I haven't. And I have no immediate plans to. I just finished a VF-84 Phantom not too long ago though. I'm not a Phantom phanatic, so I rarely build them.
  7. Yes they are. And I found this out almost too late. I had actually already glued them in upside down. Luckily I was able to pull them free before they were totally locked in.
  8. Same as I always do, except my wash was the ProModeler/Flory wash-Light Dirt. Then I used the Tamiya weathering sets. The chips were done with a tiny foam wedge, then dipped in Tamiya enamel XF-16 aluminium, then carefully dabbed here and there.
  9. Kitty Hawk kit, Furball Decals. A long awaited subject for me. I've always had a fondeness for this aircraft. The kit caught the lines very well, and I see no shape issues. However, there was far more flash that there should be for today's, even KH's own standards. Also fit wasn't on par with earlier kits. But all in all, a decent kit that captures the beautiful shape nicely.
  10. Diggin the video. The Hase Spit is still a favorite for an easy, quick build. Fuselage length be damned! I actually challenged some buddies if they could tell the difference side by side to an Eduard kit. None of them saw a discrepancy in the length until I told them.
  11. yay! Found a new hosting site. Imgur. I'll take it for now.
  12. Welp. Time to say goodbye to Photobucket. They've just lost my business after their latest stunt. Getting stuff off there will take an eternity, but I'm not giving them a dime, after all the crap they've done over the last 5-6 years.
  13. The decals took a little longer than say carto or microscale to settle down, but then they did, they did just fine. No issues.
  14. Seems this is the most common desert scheme typhoon, but I figured, why not? Techmod Decals.
  15. For whatever reason, I couldn't attach all the pics in one post. 🤔
