No, not to cynical at all I am sorry to say. So looks like the EASA wants further improvements down the road. https://twitter.com/dominicgates/status/1331297475815116801 The article is behind a paywall. Maybe there are some other bits out there as what the EASA wants. I did manage to see that there is a 28 day consult?
  3. I really like this Sunderland. Scroll to mid page thereabouts. https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,3623.msg717625.html?PHPSESSID=6b8886ff01d5e4674c63be66837c07ab#new
  4. I can just imagine the discussion at the flight design/test office. Engineer 1: I fly RC planes on the weekend, the batteries get really hot Rest of the team: Facial expressions of Attenborough and Stewart Reminds me of the scene from the 1965 flight of the Phoenix. Sorry for the quality. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8iQW_FQpdvc
  5. Sorry to see this. Saw it on the Dominic Gates twitter. Looks like it may have been the Li-Io batteries eventually saying enough? https://www.flightglobal.com/airframers/eviation-alice-fire-involved-lithium-ion-batteries-which-ignited-after-hours-of-powerplant-tests/141228.article

Cat among the pigeons? Interestingly, according to post 271, Reuters is saying that EASA will also look at lifting the grounding in January? Yet post 272 quoting Times of India says EASA thinks more needs to be done. https://www.airliners.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1437865&sid=1be548c9aa216e312b906997c3fc63d5&start=250#p22522447 Dominic Gates: https://twitter.com/dominicgates FAA chief conceded original certification missed the flaws in MCAS Cites "fragmented communication between the flight test and operational s
  7. Rush: YYZ. Hey, it is even somewhat aviation related. The code for the airport at Toronto. Listen with headphones on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCCN5umy9lU YYZ live in Rio is a hoot. The fans in the video were singing back at the band. And as much as I like the marimba Strangiatio, here is the original. Again, listen with headphones https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hn-X6ho7W6Y The baseline, the drums, the solo. I can still see myself as a young fellow listening to this on my older brothers stereo, while watching t

  11. I've been reading a number of posts over at the Sturmovik forum( new system/game purchases for me eventually). And I am sorry if I am asking the obvious, but what fuel levels did you give the aircraft? I've read a number of posts re aircraft not behaving as expected. Suggestion was drop fuel load to 40% especially if in quick mission. I am playing modded IL-2 1946, and have come to the conclusion that in real life, it is a good thing that I am not a pilot. haha
  12. I do not like reddit very much, so I am careful where I go there. This entire subreddit is for kittens. Again, my favorites are the rescues/adoptions. I thought that I would post it here because, well, 2020. https://www.reddit.com/r/kittens/

  19. More 60FPS goodness. This was taken in 1966. Gee, I think it may have been part of a movie? I love the start footage. Watching this with headphones on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cy71Ufuzk0 Oh that rain footage.
  20. Thank you. I am still trying to unravel all of this. All I currently have on my system is Ultimaker Cura. That wont do it I do not think?
  21. Not sure if this is the correct spot, but, here goes. I found a head tracking clip that looks promising, but I want to make changes. Specifically the areas where the leds are fitted, I want to extend those 3 sections by another inch. Reason being that I find the LED Legs and wires get a bit tight making the angles. Yes even with cut back led legs. Any ideas? Here is the clip. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2598657

    F-35A Crash

They've probably already fixed it, but I wonder about carrier ops? Planes never come in too fast or weird angles eh?
