That is turning out beautifully @vaoinas! The dust looks perfect, and well done on your figures too! I'm about to venture into some figure painting as well and am a bit anxious about it. This tank is gonna look great!

Oh man, what a fine herd of ponies! Peter, you have a great group of Mustangs there, most impressive gathering I've seen in some time. Brilliant (didn't I call it?!? ) work Farmerboy! I absolutely love the group photo as I'm a real "sucker" for those! And quite timely for me to find this as I just received a set of Aztec "Macho Mustangs" decals for Latin American Mustangs in the mail yesterday. I had planned on using some on an old Monogram P-51D but now I find it's missing its clear parts. I now believe an Airfix D model may be in my near future. I've heard that they compare quite well with the Tamiya and Eduard versions.

Beautiful modeling @Maddoxx77! 🍺 Very well done indeed, my friend, and your figures don't look bad at all! Great presentation all around.

Gary Brantley replied to Gary Brantley's topic in Work in Progress - Armour
Thanks a lot @Michael_55! I'm glad you like it, and hope you do pick one up soon. 🍺 I'm looking forward to seeing more Bulldogs; they just have a "rakish" somewhat sporty look about them that has always appealed to me. I very much appreciate the comments! -

Al, I anticipate the same ordeal with the ARVN crew members for my M41 Bulldog tank. Good luck with those guys! -

@Maddoxx77, What a great comment to wake up to this morning! Thank you so much for the encouraging words! I hope I can get her across the finish line without any major drama. I'm ready to start another tank soon. I really appreciate the generous compliments, coming from a skilled armor modeler makes them even better!. I'm glad you had a look and thanks for your continuing interest Maddoxx! 🍻 -

Wittmann's Tiger, or was it?
Gary Brantley replied to Maddoxx77's topic in Work in Progress - Armour
😁 I know, I know...mea culpa! The Bulldog is looking pretty good (he so humbly said ) and the crew won't if I paint them. ...again with the negative waves, man! Always with the negative waves... -

Wittmann's Tiger, or was it?

That is looking so fine @Maddoxx77! 🍺 You're doing some top work here! Ah, those figures so intimidate me. I know how amateurish the crew looks on my Panther tank after I painted them, and I haven't had any practice since then, 20 years or so. I'd like to sub-out the figure painting for my ARVN crew on the Bulldog if at possible. I know my own figure painting skills would diminish the effect I'm trying for. -

You are much too kind my friend! ...but, please don't stop! 😆 She was a lot of fun to photograph out at the airport; that scenery seemed to really suit that plane. Sometimes I do get lucky! 😁 Thanks again Peter! And thanks to @shortCummins for your "like" too! 🥃 -

M41 Walker Bulldog-Ending at last!
Gary Brantley replied to Gary Brantley's topic in Work in Progress - Armour
No, not pushing a bit but on the right track indeed. I am planning a base for it; something a bit different from my airport tarmac. The primary inspirations for this tank were photos of ARVN M41s in the Cholon section of Saigon, circa the Tet Offensive of Jan.-Feb. 1968. I want a base that looks like a paved street, strewn with a little rubble. That's really uncharted waters for this old modeler! Not really sure how I'll start it, but I should be planning that now I guess. Perhaps, YouTube will be a good resource... I have a spot here in our small town Cameron picked out that should look fairly appropriate for the background. It's an old, abandoned granary with lot's of broken windows, towers, catwalks, etc. It's located alongside a railroad track in an old part of town. We'll see how that looks when we get there. I may need an alternate location if that doesn't work out. Please wish me luck with the base! I'm sure I'm gonna need it. 😁 -
