  1. OR you could go get yourself a copy of J P Airlines and that is the bible for airliners and airlines tells you everything but it comes at a cost of a bullseye or get the CD for a bit less. Clive
  2. I must admit the speedjack scheme does look the part and I do remember seeing that type outside the hanger at LHR in the 70's. I have since found and brought a set of BEA red square decals but I'm not sure who's they are. Clive
  3. Glad it wasn't me he came up against as I would definitely of put him down and in the car like a piece of rubbish into a bin I don't stand for that kind of rudeness there's no need for it. Thanks for sharing your vanguard model it looks the biz Thank you. Clive
  4. Cheers skoda that's a great help I just hope I can get a hold of some BEA red square decals as those are the ones I remember as a small boy
  5. Cheers guys thanks for the heads up, are the 26 decals of good quality and where would I find both decals being sold do they both have web pages. Clive
  6. Well I had a bit of a bargain got an Airfix B737 Lufthansa and a BA Vickers Vanguard yesterday, all I need now is the red square BEA decals in 1/144 for the vanguard does anyone know where I could get a set and how much. Clive
  7. Cheers guys wow so much help I've always admired the finish you guys get on airliner kits and this is just great thanks a bunch for the help from everyone. It is the Airfix civil VC-10 I'm looking for it might be a long wait but it will be worth it as my granddad was chief airframe engineer at the Vickers works at Weybridge back in the day, so its a kind of personal thing for me. Clive
  8. Thanks for that skoda that's a great help. The other plane I'm looking to get is a VC-10 but again the prices on eBay are to high, I defo don't want to pay silly money for a kit I'm going to build but it's the earlier the kit the better the fit so I've been told and it's the BOAC version I would like to build. Clive
  9. Hi Gary I've never had one never been an airliner modeller but I've been working on the real things for years and it's only now I fancy a classic or two but I'm just not going to pay the collectors money for one. Clive
  10. Cheers fella The airfix one comes at a price for the Lufthansa kit but if the new release has any inbox views I might try one. Clive
  11. Hi all does any of you know how good the 1/144 eastern express B737 is as I was thinking of buying a Lufthansa B737-200 Clive
  12. They both look superb so far, I'm going to have to wait a little longer as Hannants have not had their full quota of theses kits and so be it. Clive
  13. Thanks guys I've kinda got near as dam it so I guess I will see how she turns out thanks again. Clive
  14. Hi all can anyone tell me the colours of the German Tornado in the green scheme, if you know please can you tell me what they are in the Tamiya colours. Thank you Clive
  15. Hi there prevention is better than the cure is what they used to drum into us in the forces, and as I have had previous experience in buggering things up with tape of all kinds my best advice to you is don't glue the burners in till the thing has all been painted that way you can be sure of not clowning the thing up. It would be a great shame at this point, I have two of these kits and I have left the engines off as they can be glued into position after the model has been painted. The choice is yours but that's my advice. Clive
  16. Great film great plane and a smashing looking model welcome to the forum matey. Clive
  17. Hi Andy no offence was taken the sea doesn't agree with me and the pongos well they too are a mucky bunch of chaps hence the nick name. I'm in work at present but its only temporary so it might come good in October but I'll wait n see, I hope to get one of these Bucc's along with that new Airfix Typhoon but the resin kit puts me in a bit of a precarious position because I have a new born in the family and I have to be extra careful of the dust as the dust is a bugger.
  18. I've spoken to a lot of RN folks Not me I was never in the sea weeds Sounds good Andy lets hope I get a permanent job to buy one
  19. Blimey this has come back from the mist, I like this Andy well done. Will you be doing any after market bits from all this?, I'm still looking to buy one but I'm not in a position to at present but I'm forever hopeful. Love the Bucc I will never forget the two that buzzed us on exercise it was my life's memory todate superb, your doing the kit justice and I'm sure the end will be the best part. Clive

    Fdcal Decals

Thanks all They are laser decals and the problem is getting them to fit around the rear end of the A380's fuz, the decal seems quite thick and the solutions I have would not soften the decal to conform with the curvature of the fuz. I will try the tam thinners and see whether that helps first then it's a buy of daco decal soft. Thanks all very much appreciated. Clive

    Fdcal Decals

Hi all can anyone tell me what works for softening the Fdcal decals to the model, so far I've used Mr Mark Softer and Microsol decal setting solution but none of these have done the job. I have never come across this before but now I'm miffed as to what to do, the decals are now in a tray of water till I have a solution. Cheers all Clive
  23. I like it and its shouting at me to get mine done, just got to scale the loft ladder and open the stable door lol very nice indeed and a great choice in markings Clive
