  8. This looks fantastic your really making this look its best. To answer your question about the rub n buff I use a primer to go down first then use the rub n buff till I'm satisfied it looks the part, then I coat it with a sealer like Johnson's clear or a good varnish and that seems to do the trick. Hope this helps for future use keep at it she looks great. Clive
  9. Thank you Alan your very kind. I'm afraid she never made the show as I just didn't have the time to finish her so here's a couple of pics of her on the bench. More soon. Clive
  10. Hi all thanks for the kind thoughts chaps. Now its been a while so here's a quick up date to where I'm now at with the Typhoon. Well she now has paint on her and I must say I'm quite pleased on how she's come out. The cockpit is nearly finished and so as not to loose all that wonderful detail that Airfix has put in I'm leaving the top part of the cockpit free. The engine is also nearly finished just a few bits n bobs to do then in she goes. This is a quick look at the underside, the whole thing needs a mild weathering but that's to come last so for now I'm adding the decals. Thanks for stopping by and if you are going to Southern EXPO 2015 at Hornchurch then I will be on the Surrey Scale Model Club stand say hello would be nice to meet some new faces in the mean time its on with the decals. Cheers all Clive
  11. How do all this kit has not been left to gather dust, it's just been a crappy start to he year we lost our unborn child, I had an injury at work resulting in me now being out of work and fighting a bad injury to my elbow. I'm now trying to get this ole girl fit and done for the southern EXPO this coming weekend I will post some pics later thanks for your interest and I wish you all well. Clive

The engine I'm still working on but here's a look at her so far. The last thing was I managed to get the wheel bays done and dusted. Thats all for now folks but I will post the next update soon. Cheers all and thanks for stopping by. Clive
  16. Hi all its a slow progress this one but we are getting there, I hope to have her done for the southern EXPO 2015. Still here's a look at where I am with her, first off she is now starting to look like a Typhoon, the gear bays and the seat belts are the next on the list then finish the engine and put the tail on. I thought I would add my little 1/72 Typhoon as a size comparison she's a huge bugger I must say. That's all for now thanks for your interest and see you next time. Clive
