I think Revell cocked up on the CRT screens as they seem to me to be a bit on the small side, plus the 41 SQN bird has the large moving map display and not the small round one provided but hey hey that's not for here this kids doing a grand job on a plane that brings back memories for me and she's going to look very schweet when finished. That's a nice GR1 model, but I'm supprised the eagle eyed amongst you haven't spotted the fin ECM blocks are of the IDS variant the kit provides the RAF GR1 tail fin ECM which should of been used. Still a great kit just a shame Revell forgot to put the Laser glass in the GR4 kit silly billies. Clive

Cheers guy's the help has been ace, I must say Kev that VC10 of yours looks the biz. Tom I have had ago at making bulkheads and a lot of other stuff so there's no problem there, it was just wether the chap was going to refine the model and make the kit a better than the old kit. Clive

Hi all this is a bit of a long shot but can anyone help, I need a set of six needle blades for my 1/24 Mossie the ones in the kit were beyond repair and I had to throw them. The kit is out of production and Airfix has none of the parts available now. Thanks for your interest and help. Clive

Cheers guys Nigel I'm already following Kev's project. I spoke to him a little while ago at a show, he told me that he was not sure of how the kit will look and the quality of the plastic detail. He had been approached to make copies of his resin parts for the RAM kit and I have heard no more since that time, I just want to see what detail you get in the box and how easy it is to put together as I have not yet done a vac form kit and this would be a nice subject to model. Hello Kev it was great meeting you at the Farnbrough show and now I have seen this beast for real I'm considering having a go myself, you are doing a mighty fine job on her and that Vanguard was bloody awesome thanks for sharing some time with me at the show, you have made a really impressive start to your VC-10 and so if the Vanguard is a marker to go by then she will look fantastic. Cheers Clive

Hi there I have just acquired one of these kits at the recent Farnbrough modelfest, it was a bargain at £30 and today I have just found this thread of your build and I must say your doing a fine job on her and I will watch this till the end great stuff. Can I ask where did you get the attack squadron resins from and how much they were as Hannants are out of stock. All the best Clive

Hi all I've just started the HK Models B-25J, its a superb kit a bit basic but there's plenty of room for improvement. Here is the port engine, I started with painting the whole lot black then I went over that with a bright silver now I'm at the part where I start to weather it. Enjoy the pic's. This is the starboard side and this is near finish just a few wires and the exhausts remain. I also need to put in the new props on when they get here as the kit props are a bit out of shape they would make great oars, anyhow More to come. Clive.

This is superb, I've always wanted a big VC-10 as my grandad was chief airframe engineer on her at Vickers at Brooklands. Your doing a sterling job so far and I'm hoping that Airfix or the like will produce an injection kit of her. I've always admired the VC-10 it was a graceful aircraft and there will be nothing like her ever again. Clive
