  2. You done good there buddy for a first timer in a long time, as for weathering its an art and it is very difficult to replicate and get it looking rite but it all comes with practice. Clive

  4. Hmmmm doesn't seem to be a lot of interest for this on here I'll just say thanks for the few that did find this of interest cheers Clive
  5. Hi So this is not a model i could see at a model show, this is a computer generated model only and can only be viewed on a computer as a picture in 3D. I only ask as I'm confused as to where this is a plastic model forum and this what you're doing albeit very clever is a computer generated model that can only be displayed on a computer am I getting there sorry I really am trying to understand this. I build plastic model kits along with the majority on here, some of them use 3D CAD works to design model kits to which the end result is a model you build in kit form and display at a show. Your model is a 3D drawing which is then incorperated into a picture which can be printed off for framing right Clive
  6. Hi there is this actually going to be a model or is this just showing a 3D CAD model design like they use for flightsims. Clive
  7. She's looking sweet bud very nice. Clive
  8. Hi there thanks for your interest, now to answer your question Matt. The weathering was done using Humbrol maskol dabbed on with a sponge over a silver surface on the model, it was then sprayed with its camo green over the top and left to dry. Once dry the maskol was removed leaving the desired affect you can see on the fuselage, the floats however were one the same but I also used rub n buff silver and pewter. To get the desired affect using the rub n buff I used a cotton ear bud and a paint brush to put the stuff on in the desired place, once this was dry I then used another cotton bud to buff up the polished areas of the floats where desired. The red was done with a paint brush using XF-7 and X-7 this created the look of the top coat of paint still noticeable and glossy but the under paint being the flat XF-7 giving the worn affect and fading. Hope this has answered your question clearly if you have any other questions please ask and I'll do my best to explain, here is a few pics of her as today I didn't get much done as the canopies needed the model to be set up and dry on. I did get some decals on her and I did a couple of touch up paint jobs on her to just to break up the camo look. She had to sit like this for most of today whilst the canopy set. That's all for now enjoy Clive
