Hi all, I'm looking for some advise on fitting smd's to my 1/24 scale fire engine. Firstly what is the best way to strip the plastic covering from the wire seeing as it is the thickness of a human hair I seem to keep snapping it. Will I be able to solder with this thin wire and should I use heat shrink for connecting longer wires to them please.

Hi All, I'm new to this site but have been building kits for some years now. I have gone onto 1/24 scale fire engines at the present and are looking for any makers of the Scania crew cab cp28 or similar. KFS used to do a trans kit for the replacement to the revell MAN truck cab but no longer carry out production and haven't any knocking about. Been looking on the internet for quite some time but cannot seem to locate anything. I would be great full if anyone on this site knows of any contacts that could point me in the right direction please. Didn't think it would be that hard to get hold of one. There seems to be an abundance of others like Merc/ Man/Volvo but not Scanias
