  1. Following this one with interest! Martin
  2. As requested. I think she would be better photographed outside in natural light as the flash is spoiling the images a bit. Martin
  3. Thanks guys. I would love to do this in 1/48 scale too, but the almost total lack of detailed information on the type is the stumbling block there; hence the unusually long gestation period for this model. Yes the Blackburn was a large aircraft for its day and I might well try and add a figure to the base to illustrate the point. My guess is that the pilot sat at least 18 feet above the ground when he was in the aircraft. Martin
  4. Its been far too lang since I posted some completed work so, after four and a half years work on and off here is my Blackburn Blackburn from the old 1/72 Contrail vac-form kit. The kit was pretty basic and I had to replace all rib and surface detail, scratch build the iinterior, exhausts, oil tank, radiator and tail skid. The decals were a pile of and had to be replaced. The model represents an aircraft aboard HMS Argus circa 1931. Why Argus? Well because nobody ever seems to do her aircraft. Martin
  5. Smart piece of work there! Martin
  6. Good luck with this one. I've just shown the picture of you carrying the kit box to my wife just to show her that she has got off relatively lightly with me. Lucky girl! Martin
  7. Nice one General! I think it loolks so cool I can feel myself being obliged to get one myself at Telford. I supose I should have given up the ridiculous idea of trying to contain the stash years ago, c'est la vie. Martin
  8. Great pics! What on earth were they doing in a pile of rubbish? Martin
  9. Always thought the Heinkel He111 would make a good subject for a cutaway model . Martin
  10. Super job and so very different! Martin
  11. I understand from reviews when these kits first came out that the floors and interior bulkheads are too large and need trimming or replacing to allow the fuselage halves to close up. Martin
  12. Nice one General. I have one of these kits unbuilt and in its original packaging in the stash. Gill bought it for me as a surprise shortly after we were married. Trouble is I could never bear to build it. Still the fit is good enought to be able to get it out of its box from time to time and dry fit it together and dream.............. Martin
  13. I like these pioneer aircraft. Do you have any background information on the thing? Martin
  14. Now that really looks the part! Must get round to having a go at mine sometime. Martin
  15. Great work so far! I think you're bonkers though. Martin
