  1. Amazing stuff! You/re making me feel very inadequate! Martin
  2. This bit is going to be very interesting! Martin
  3. Great model! Nice and clean as well; just how I like them. Martin
  4. Well hopefully I won't have any crap to deal with for a while so here is the promised update for tonight. I have applied a second layer of Milliput to the inside of the intakes. They now look much better and really only need a quick sand and polish to finish them off. I have blanked of the rear of the intakes with black plastic card to prevent a see through look into the inards of the model. Tomorow I should have the intakes on the model and be onto the auxilliary intake doors. Thanks for looking and see you tomorrow night all being well. Martin
  5. The first couple of days back in the real world so things are a bit tough but I have just picked up the TSR2 again. Marrtin
  6. Hi Guys just to let you know I'm back from my travels and have started working on the TSR2 again. I hope to have some update pictures tonight. Martin
  7. Fantastic effort Amos! It really does look the dog's danglies. Martin
  8. I have this kit in my stash so I'm watching your progress with interest. Martin
  9. I just popped into the Post Office on the island I am staying on to weed my e-mails and noticed all the kind comments about my Mother. I find myself pretty overwhelmed by them but they are very much appreciated at this particularly difficult time; to add insult to injury we had to have our remaining cat put to sleep on the morning of Mum's funeral. Still I'll be back on 26th of the month and I think the best thing I can do is crack on with this build. She won't be ready for Telford for obvious reasons but I will have her on the IPMS Dorset/Poole Vikings stand. Thank you all so very much Martin PS:Anybody who wants to help get me completely wasted at Telford, please feel free to carry on!
  10. Lovely work! The Hobbycraft kit is still ahead of the Trumpeter one in my opinion. Martin
  11. Sadly my Mother died as a result of her illness, so, following the funeral tomorrow, I'm going away for a couple of weeks to get my head together. I shall be resuming work on 25th October. Sorry guys but there's no way I can concentrate properly on this at the moment. There's too much other stuff going on in my head. The sooner this year is over the better! Martin
  12. Built as a bit of relaxation from all the crap that has been flying about recently. Hobby Boss kit out of the box, the only change being the replacement of a broken nose probe with a bit of wire. Decals are a mix of Kagero, kit and home made by a freind. The only real problem encountered was the joint between the front and rear fuselage parts which did need a bit of filling and sanding. Apart from that a cracking little kit and good value at £4.99. Thanks for looking Martin
  13. Well, I have managed to get some done on the intakes. Not as soon as I had hoped but the current domestic situation seems to be controlling me rather than the other way round. It is important to ensure that the intake ductings flow smoothly, partyicularly so as they are white and will throw shadows where there are any imperfections. Accordingly the hatched area of the kit parts need to be carefully carved away and the depressions in the Camett replacement parts need filling. The intakes can then be glued together and the joins between the two parts made good with more Milliput. When this has set I will pass a Flexifile through the ducting to effect the mecessary clean up. One small but strange tip; although we all know that Milliput can be smoothed out with water, saliva actually works much better! Tastes disgusting but, in my opinion it makes the putty muich easier to work. Are there no lengths I will not go to for this project? Thanks for looking in Martin
  14. Thanks Guys. I'm just about to start work on the intake trunkings as soon as I have finished this post. Pics might be a bit difficult but I'll have a bash at them tomorrow anyway. For some reason this model seems to photograph better in daylight. Martin
  15. Nice work Amos! Is it finished yet? Martin What about now? Martin
