  1. Does he do additional runs? I’ll try and get from the first batch.
  2. Neil just built an absolutely fabulous Hampden from the FM kit. Now that a shake and bake kit is planned, I hope my build is half as nice as his build.
  3. Very nice tribute you have planned. I have met one of the those who planned the escape, we had Barry Davidson (the scrounger) speak at several of our mess dinners when I was in the RCAF. He was an amazing man and had fascinating stories. He bribed German soldiers to provide items like a camera for forgeries, train schedules, ink, pen nibs, timber, and travel permits crucial to the escapers. He didn’t make it through a tunnel that night, which likely saved his life. He was played by James Garner in the movie. I am certain he would have known Romuldas. Barry passed away in 1992 at the age of 82.
  4. Sell it for billions before those who can’t read are told verbally about the ICM kit.
  5. I wouldn’t say they were armed to the teeth with high technology weapons. And the military was not that well trained, especially the conscripts on the Falklands. The war was started for one reason, to distract from the economy.
  6. They gave the UK new sidewinders for the original conflict, they do care.
  7. Argentina was broke when they invaded the Falklands in 82, it was the main reason for the conflict, to distract the country from their economy.
  8. The US probably installed a kill switch if they try to invade the Falklands again.
  9. Very nice, I’m itchin to build one of my two GWH Mig-29s now.
  10. You aren’t alone, I have three too. First time in a long time too that a kit went straight from delivery to my work bench. And now I will have a fourth.
  11. Politics, as simple as that. My dad was assigned to the Arrow program, on the RCAF liaison team. Very nice, I look forward to buying a few of these.
  12. Beautiful work, exactly how we set them up for the pre- flight walkaround with the pilot.
  13. Starfighter has my vote. With Maple Leafs and Red Ensign.
  14. Kinetic has reboxed the kit since Academy released the kit, they tooled tail fins so a A, B, C, or D can be built. Nice work on the anti-skip.did you brush it on or are you able to spray it? I have several of the kits and a lot of aftermarket. I worked on Hornets during my career in the RCAF, I am enjoying your build.
  15. i was going to use that term. I’ve been to Dayton many times, the wheels alone on the B-36 are massive.
  16. They haven’t created a LIDAR system capable of scanning an aircraft the size of a small planet yet.
  17. Nice work! Look forward to the finished product!
  18. Those who don’t build 1/48 armour are missing out. After building an aircraft I find it relaxing to put one of the 1/48 Tamiya kits together and blast it with one color, easy builds.
  19. I never heard them being referred to as ice chocks, we called then run-up chocks. There was a plate at the bottom that we pulled the aircraft onto, so we were seated on them. For run-ups we only had a rubber chock at the back. I recall them being much bigger and were painted OD. Yeah, that photo is Trenton.
  20. Nice work! My dad served in 602, they still had one Spit that a BoB pilot kept flying, pretty sure it was the CO.
  21. Beautiful work, love those pre-war colors. Awesome scene!
  22. Most of the builders I know who have trouble with these decals it is the national insignia that they have problems with. I only wish Eduard would have stuck with Cartograf. Great build! I have a filet less Mustang planned for the future.
