  6. Oh hi peps it been a while since i have attacked the keyboard and been a keyboard warrior so to speak , a fair old bit had been happen with the build in between teaching the 11 year old mixed factions and Tectonic plate movement. and the younger one just keep him off the dreaded youtube. Ok so looking back , i was working my way through the booklet , changing things as I went . Sorting out holes nad moving BCF locations Added in the front pioneer tools Building side boxes ooopps squeezed a bit hard -* thankfully its on the back of the box and not seen here's a bit more of the PE work on the turret enhancing the padding on the hatches Before a chat with Danny After a chat with Danny , can you spot the difference yet ? Yea I know I blame Danny for a lot , but hey he is my personal font of all knowledge undercoating and preshading laying down the lacquer NATO green Lovely stuff to work with , Legal high as well compulsory wheel masking shot hey look green wheels black rims missing the said wheels tracks arrived today - fruils - and then the add on armor will go on undercoated and painted -- will then add the standard black camo, still toying with the idea of doing here a knackered white , don't think Mr D's heart will take it .....once that has had a couple of days to off vent it will be dull coated , decals pin-washes , mud , stuff to make it look like a travelling circus , so we are good at that... any ways that where i am at the moment, stay safe Mike
  7. thank you John , I tend to replace all my plastic with copper wire then if needs be I replace the outside wiring as well or add it if needed
  8. So rain stopped outdoor play today. after nailing the eldest son to the table to finish the required homework before he starts is home learning on Monday ..... joy of joys. managed to get a couple hours cracking on with this little beauty Managed to get the cam net in and a few of the louvre covers on , got all the cam pole holding thingies in place. 9. Oh goodness , is it really 3 days siuince i updated , better check the world has not stopped in the mean time , thanks for the words of support on this build so here is a little update for you guys Both back bins are on and PE'd up move the door BCF bracket to a higher location , just need to fill the bleeping holes in..... Muppet that i am have completed the drivers side with the cam net holders in place .. Dan my quality control specialist informed me to " drill the f'ing holes in them you lazy sod" or words to that effect. Oh really says I ..... guess who won that whats app discussion , look closely in the red circle ....... The straps on camnet basket need to come off again and i will make a net tomorrow to fill the space . at the same time i will make the louver covers and the headlight covers out of very thing green stuff , and finish off the other side cam net holders - with holes so as I am typing wonder if any one can help .. on the Tamiya Panther kit the cheap one , how long is the hull in mm and what is the size on the turret ring hole that the turret fits into .. just wondering for my next (future ) scratch build so as always , stay safe, stay apart Mike out
  10. Easter Sunday - Well who would have thought it , my good ladywife , decided it was a relaxation day , boys unlimited xbox and computer time - me Sofa , netflix and a good session on the Warrior , So today , have managed to start on the front of her , getting the drivers hatch , front louvers , filling a little on the back end , she was just a little loose, touch of filler and she was good to go. so the louvers in place and the hatch sorted , , just some cabling to do on the inside of the hatch Managed to build and PE the LH rear stowage box , God those hinges are small, Need to dig the fiber glass brush out , just to clean the glue up abit , carpet monster grabbed on e, but found a makeshift hinge from on old fret of PE , Danny thank goodness i listened and haven't thrown those away . Normal thing for me is to replace all the crap plastic handles and replace them 0.4mm copperwire , easy to work with and looks better in my option. Also saves me breaking them all , fingers like pigs XXXX. Back left bin is on , left hand cage is on more modeling done today than all week ... that what sundays are for Need to lift the door BCF as it is sitting to low , really need to be in line with the bottom of the viewing pane , job for tomorrow I guess Right , quite alot done , be save have fun
  11. Just a while then Dan , just a while
  12. Ok Guys so we are that 12 days in , people are plowing through their stashes like trains in to stations...Me , no i get to build a back door and a drivers hatch On a good note my AA Clansmans antenna bases arrived today ,, hurrah ...might be on by Christmas - On a side note about speed , had a funny post from an old mate on FB the other day - lookee here i got me a 1/48 hurricane to do over the lock down , cool thinks me , good challenge will keep him going .... Bang 2 days later up and ready for paint ...... takes me 2 days to try and work out what period i am going to build , let alone make the thing in 2 days , but each to there own , he enjoyed it , waiting to see the finished product, Support to be given as always be safe stay in , key workers bless you all
  13. Sorry to say Ivan-o but i am not a rivet counter to be honest , some time i am happy just to make a model , but thank you for you views , maybe next time Question as i am writing back in 2000 and dot a bloke made an 9K35 Strela-10 Skif build - has anyone got the photos of the build , he did a shed load of scratch on it , - Dan very kindly gave me the Kit be save all
  14. OK so started slowly as always 4 coffees , 2 pieces of cake and a good Vape Road wheels cleaned up -- small heart attack thought I was missing the poly caps - same color as the plastic - panic abated put on the final drive hubs - Great missing welds, what a start Little bit of magic , and well it looks better , shame half of it is going to be covered by the up armor Going to tackle the high suspension over the next couple of days need to lower it by about 3.5 mm sitting rather high , been informed by Mr Dan they measured them from photos with power pack and no additional armor , ... well i would swear but I will not Ordered the PE from Hannets and the clansman pots from AA so waiting on those to arrive. Was going to do a command wagon with the 4 antennas how ever, its a split double door on the rear on the Command and control wagons , bit of a game changer that little bombshell , will just be a Platoon commanders wagon instead. Oh well that's it for today , time to drink more coffee and play World of Tanks be safe all
  15. So the Pandemic is in full flow , the kids have been off for a full week , My Mojo has gone in to hiding, I think it is time to break open a box and see what we can do So having a look at the small stash , i feel that this is in order purely OOB with just a few little tinkering's if required. Just a nice simple build looking to do something along these lines so we will see how it goes , just waiting now for the PE and the clansman bases ... didn't say how many boxes be save and make the most of these hard times
  16. not being pedantic, is it not a rusty pink tone , , showing the pinker because of the glare of the midday sun ? looking at it personally i think it is quite and orangey pink ..if that makes sense . She is looking fantastic as a build , are you going to do the vegetation around it?
  17. Hi Danny, the day you do a quick is the day I see pigs fly. You have been in self isolation now for nearly 4 months. have fun trying to get the right green for the 3 colour . I ended up with the NATO green and a few drops of black , i' message you photos of the cam on the leopard one.
