Hey all. I'm Liam, and I've had a tumultuous run with modelling. When I was a kid I did the standard - Spitfires, Mustangs, all terribly glued together and painted like a child with no sense of how paint works. If they were painted at all.
In 2016, after probably a 18 year absence, I picked up a 1:700 scale Yamato which I made a chaotic start on.. and promptly abandoned.
In 2017, I picked up a 1:350 scale Kagero Destroyer, which I opened, looked at once, and then promptly abandoned.
In 2018, I picked up a 1:48 F-4C/D Phantom, which I opened, sanded vaguely, and promptly abandoned.
Suffice to say I struggle greatly with maintaining motivation, but with a recent change in scenery for myself I actually have space to keep something out for longer than an hour at a time, and I'm hoping having it sitting right there in front of me will help with my stay-to-it-ive-ness!
I've picked up a Tamiya A6M2 which I'm planning to do up in plain white/grey and red - I'll make a Work in Progress thread in due course, but I'll hold off until I've made a proper start on it. I don't want to flake out again!!
