Well... I found time to repair some of the damage I had done and create new problems along they way, as you would expect!
A rookie mistake was to mount the 100 gal. tank pylons on the wrong (outer) location instead of the proper inboard ๐คจ!
Why does it always take s-o-o- long to get the last bits done?? OMG, the stencils!! I read some of the aerial display units (Blue Diamond, Black Arrows) only had minimal stenciling...I don't know if that also applied to to 4FTS, but I'm taking some artistic licence! Of course that is it when when all the handling damage takes place! I broke off the yellow UHF aerial and the lost one of the intake blade sensors, etc.
4FTS F.6 XG164 photos I have seen did NOT show a black code number (74, 73, etc) on the nose as is usually the case, and if you google XG164, you'll see a couple of early 70's shots showing the tail WITHOUT the unit emblem pyramid and palm tree, but a with yellow disc code "64" with the over-lapping fin flash. Well, I can't find a 64, so I did a 44. Licence again. Or lack of patience. D'oh!! ๐ฒ It's not level! No good deed...
