  1. I did a little bit of work on it last night with some interior paint, just for cameras and seat covers but let me know what ya think.
  2. I know I’m late to the party. Had to get my mojo going again, but I had been working on a Dinah before losing motivation. Now with the 25% rule I’d like to see if it would be acceptable to put her in. all I did was the interior paint main colour and a couple odds and ends. Very minimal PE work done. There’s still flaps and exhaust and more PE to go on but I’m wondering if it may qualify to be entered. For me I’d say it’s under but maybe I’m biased. I had planned on a Gekko for this build but I don’t think I’ll have the time. Maybe I could sneak in a George though.
  3. I was mistaken, I only have the new tool version apparently. The promodeller version.
  4. Does the SBDC-4 Helldiver count? I believe it was originally issued in 72 and reissued as a Promodeller in 97.
  5. I have so many to enter into this group build
  6. I haven’t been able to sort out the tone on my iPhone. It definitely plays havoc with colours.
  7. Decided I'm going to keep it as a Mk.II as displayed on the kit. The cowl I had some difficulty getting on and Ive had to cut all the rods and will still need to shave down the mounting plate for it to fit properly to the fuselage. Just have to finish up the flaps, mount the cowl, paint the red tips, and do the walkways. Most likely going to wait until the end to deal with the exhaust as everything else will have a satin finish.
  8. 1st and 2nd Coat of Chrome Yellow applied. Need one more coat and then I'll have to seal it up. I do not like painting yellow. That is all.
  9. Thought I was in for this already. Ill be building a coastal command rcaf beaufighter tf.x Got lots of goodies for this and two tamiya boxing’s.
  10. Quite a bit of filler needed but luckily it was easy to sand down. Still stuck on which cowl to use but it’s starting to come together, white primer is next before attempting the dreaded yellow.
  11. I honestly cant wait to build another except perhaps the Poached Egg scheme or the late war greys!
  12. Like a Thunderbolt Macchi C.202 (MM8081) Capitano Mario Pinna 75a Squadriglia, 23o Gruppo, 3o Stormo CT Abu Haggag, Egypt Sept. 1942
  13. From the Eastern Front to North Africa BF109 G-2/R6 W. Nr. 13633 Hptmn. Wolf-Dieter Huy 7./JG 77 Tanyet Harun, Egypt oct. 1942
  14. Here it is and next to my Tamiya 109. Amazing what a couple years and an airbrush can do. Also what was I thinking with that green landing gear.
  15. Finishing up the props and then that should be the end of this one. Pretty sure this series including the Veltro are probably the best looking aircraft of WW2 for me.
  16. ...and finished. Just need to get the proper background and take proper pictures.
  17. Finishing up some work on the exhaust and putting the finishing touches on my Africa builds.
  18. With the flat coat and weathering on this is how the AMT-4 looks right now. I fiddled around with the cam and got the closest match. So to me it looks a lot more realistic viewed on the inter webs like this, of course the other colours now are all wrong lol.
  19. All that’s left is the propellers and exhaust. Was able to nail down a new flat coat which works great for me.
  20. Would the kits be compatible with each other. Great looking build FYI.
  21. Glossed and decals on. Not much to decal so moving on to weathering.
  22. No worries mate, its dramatically different without the tonal changes on my phone. Still trying to figure out how to adjust it to more realistic levels. Going forward I glossed and put on the decals. Forgot the silver and rlm 76 square that goes underneath the swastika so fixing that little issue. I'm presuming not everyone is a fan of them(incl SWMBO) but I only have swastikas to replcate the aircrafts looks and am in no way condoning some of the atrocities that were exhibited in the war.
  23. Secured the fuselage and wings. Mine was warped quite a bit so I'll have to watch the seams but the wings mate perfectly to that which is nice to know when I mount them. Yellows going to show every mistake so here's to making none lol. The engine and mount were a bit off so I just modified it a bit to fit better and be symmetrical. The Revell Texan cowl I intend on using...however it only likes to go halfway and does not mate correctly like the Italeri kit cowl. I feel its getting hung up on the rods so I may need to cut some more off. I'd like to know what others have done to remedy that issue. I also moved the throttles to where they were supposed to go, deeper in the pit. Leaning towards the post war bird but we will see how it all pans out.
  24. Just doing a bit of weathering this morning and installed the seatbelts while waiting for some gloss coats to dry.
