  1. Hey there, a build has gone awry...I screwed up the decals on my Spitfire build, askew, wrong roundel...oh dear. Is there any surefire way to remove aforementioned decals? Without damaging the underlying paint job? Very noobish I know. Moreover, any one recommend substitute decals without having to order another kit...Thanks in advance.
  2. Hi all, title says it all, have just about completed Tamiya King Tiger and Tamiya Panther tanks ...1/35..and enjoyble builds they were....Am aware of Tamiya late production Tiger 1...as I understand it, this model was released quite some time ago. Time has moved on, I am wondering what is the state of play with respect to late production Tiger 1s..something that has been released relatively recently...just to round off my collection of late war big cats...? Thanks in advance.
  3. Phew..OP here..was thinking more along the lines of colour plates showing various paint schemes plus details..yes, I have wandered into a minefield..but it makes for an interesting read for sure...thanks to all who have contributed..!
  4. Hope I have posted in the right place...any recommendations for a good book with the emphasis on graphics to help with modelling WW2 armour? Thanks in advance...
  5. Great answers..thanks for your timely responses..
  6. Hmmm, interesting thread was going to raise this subject. I have Tamiya Black Line Accent, am close to completing my first two Armor kits both Tamiya, 1/35 Panther and King Tiger, both painted with Tamiya Flat acrylic...from what I can make out, pin wash straight over the top with Tamiya Line accent over the flat acrylic is pretty much a no no...? Or have I read this wrong...forgive my newbie ness...
  7. Hi all, title says it all. My attempts at trying to repair/join the aforementioned track with Super Glue as well as Tamiya glue have failed. The tension on the track is such that nothing will hold the join-where the break is seems to have gotten worse. Currently held with Gaffer tap which is a bit annoying, given that the rest of the build has gone reasonably well. Can spares be ordered? Are there alternatives? What glue have others used to join these tracks? It says use instant glue in the instructions, a cursory sweep around the internet seems to belie this... Or just live with it...thanks in advance
