  1. Hi all well the conversion is going along quite well, all the raised panel lines have been removed and re scribed, i have also used a riveter tool ,wow, and have cut out the rad nav & nav side windows and also produced a ANP blister near the crew entrance door, cut out the tail gunners entrance door, fixed the fuselage strengthening strips ( from the front bomb bay door to just under the tail plains, cut out the fuselage chaff dispensers slots p&s, cut out and modified the wing ailerons, produced both wheel bay and bomb bay bulk heads and ceilings, filled all sink depressions using Mr surfacer 1000, wow,,,and made three ejector seats ,,pilot,,co pilot & tail gunner, I am now working on modifying the kit engines together with the buff master design engines to make x 8 J57-P-43W engines ..I will need to use a plastic filler putty ,,the type one uses to repair dents on a car ,,or something that has the consistency of ( Plasticine) that can be when dry sanded, and carved ,and will stick to the plastic kit,, ,,,any thoughts,,, , I have also started working on making the undercarriage and bomb bay doors thicker, I am also researching etc with a view to making my own bomb bay clips.. Chris

  4. Hi to you all.. Well,,,,Buff Master Designs in the U.S.of A namely Daniel,,will be re working the molding for the B-52 F engine, the J57-P-43W that has the two bulges on the sides, meantime I have ordered from H.M Hobbies a 0.16mm scriber, as I will be removing all raised panel lines, I think I will use the raised panel line as my guide,,,instead of using tape, I will also use Rosie the riveter 0.40mm, I have also decided tto manufacture a BNS Antenna (bomb Nav blister as there isn't one on the kit, just a lump,, I -I will also develop the wing ailerons, as the B-52 F was the last version to have alerons, ... Chris
  5. Hi everyone Well.. The Buff Master Design resin B-52F engine set arrived via kitlinx in Utah, only they are in fact the J57-P-43WB for the B-52G, I have notified kitlinx, does anyone know anyone who produces the correct J57-P-43W engine in 1/72 for the Monogram B-52D. Chris
  6. Hi everyone Well, well, well.. The Buff Master Design resin Boeing B-52F J57-P-43W engines arrived today from kitlinx in Utah, only they are totally the wrong type, they are in fact the J57-P-43WB, for the B-52G, you probably think what's in a B, well they are quite different in external shape, they are advertised for the B-52F, please everyone they are not.... does anyone know anyone who produces the J57-P-43W in 1/72 for the B-52F,,, Chris

  9. Hi Murph Model collect will be bringing out a B-52F next year, and there is no reason to assume it will be any better than than their other B-52s, which are appalling, sorry about being so negative but I have stopped buying all Chinese kits, ( my Trumpeter 1/32 F-105D&G as a prime example) I can't give them away,,,,,though I am sure the resin & PE industry will be kept in business for many years, .. Chris

  11. Hi everyone September this year I will be converting monogram's eternal 1/72 B-52D to an B-52F, I have acquired a mint 1978 kit, and will have the correct J57 engines via Buffmaster design next week, I will scratch build a fully clipped up bomb bay, and correct all u/c doors and bays, and the prominent wing droop, the B-52F was the first B-52 sent to Vietnam and the last of the tall tail B-52s ,,we are all used to seeing kits of the B-52D,G,& H,, but little is really known about the F and its differences from the E and its missions in Vietnam ,,some of its missions are still classified today.. my conversion will be 57-0163 320th BW 441st BS Sacramento,,I have started taking measurements from the kit and will start making templates. Chris
