  1. Right!! Now im in! Got my Hurri in the post today, some pre-construction scribing is required as I prefer recessed panel lines, this is my first time as well so please be gentle! The box shot: Scribing in progress: The white blob is unsanded tippex. Apparently this kit is 29 years old! The inside of the wing has "Airfix 1979", so no surprise about the raised panel lines then huh? Anyway, I'm rescribing using the Tamiya P-cutter, a thin piece of aluminium (couldn't locate scribing templates cheap enough for me ), and tippex. I've found the trick is to go very slowly to avoid silly errors See you in a few days when I'm either crazy or very relaxed! Cheers Tim
  2. Email sent, It's just good eyesight mainly! And matt varnish to touch up that CA after! Thanks Andy, I was wondering what they actually did! I got the fuselage together in stages, as the fit was pretty bad. got it together now though, just need to sand. Top sections glued: The rest glued: This needs sanding and small bits of filling (probably just tippex), However, I have till Jan 1st to complete this, and October 31st till I need my Spit and Hurri done! So this is on hold till they are done. Cheers Tim
  3. Awesome idea and diorama, That kind of thing was exactly what I had in mind! Cheers Tim
  4. The list is pretty long, however it would probably be an idea to have the rule that the markings must be the same as in the film, otherwise one could just build any old Spitfire and say it was in the BoB. Maybe a screenshot to be posted in the build thread? This means that the subjects must be filmed fairly close in the movie, and not just fly over and bomb something so we only get a glimpse and can't see the markings. Cheers Tim
  5. Could you post a pic please Erwin? I wanted a figure who looks like he's actually got his hand on/near the control column! Cheers Tim

  8. I would like to make my Corsair with open cowl flaps but it has plastic "plates" behind the gaps, Were the Corsairs actually like this? Or is it a decision to strengthen the plastic and ease the moulding process? TIA Cheers Tim

  19. There may be a problem , If I can attend it will most likely only be for one day, due to the travelling time, and I don't want to force my dad to have to take me on two consecutive days, especially as it is his weekend as well, Would it be possible to attend for one of the days only? Cheers Tim
  20. The towel monster more like! It's already eaten one of the seatbelts, luckily I could just make another! I'm very happy to oblige with the engine, The excess has been bent over the side on CA'd in place, what do you think? I also glued in the harness, the buckles are overscale, but i'm happy with it, in the future I'll use stretched sprue for the buckles: Cheers Tim
  21. Thats not bad actually! If I can persuade my dad to take me! Would it be possible to use the 1/48 Hurri + Spit I'll be doing for the BoB GB? They're in the post at the moment, but I have my 6 weeks hols before I start college! So count me in provisionally if possible with the Hurri + Spit, I'll confirm with my dad tomorrow
  22. Not a huge Phantom phan i'm afraid! Cheers Tim
