Thanks Joel
Yeah I didn't quite take the scale effect into consideration when taking the pics!
Yeah Darren the idea did cross my mind, but I had about 10 hours before it had to be ready and I was scared about screwing the whole thing up!
I still had the rigging to do as well!
I might improve it a bit for the next stage of the competition at Region field day in September though
The fit wasn't really bad, wasn't good either! I used a fair bit of filler and did lots of sanding!
The main problem with the kit is all the pieces are far too chunky and don't really make the Camel
look as delicate as it should.

This was my last build,
any critiques?
My main problem I found was the green is too light really
The WIP thread is hiding somewhere on the WIP-aircraft forum

Thanks you guys!
I got the pit in and glued the front of the fuselage together so far,
I lined them up as best as possible but they just dont totally match, the fuel cap
is totally out, I was gonna fill it and rescribe anyway, so its not too bad
I've also been sanding the wings to reduce their thickness, haven't finished yet though!
Cheers
Tim
Thanks you two!
I've got the wings and fuselage together!
Its had a light sand and there are numerous filler needing gaps (marked by pencil so I can find them quickly),
there are also sink marks where all the locator pins are:
The wing root will need Milliput I think!
The Spit+Hurri together:

Would that be the 06 and the 60 mate?
Looks great though!
One thing, you'll probably get more views and comments by posting it here instead,
thats the Ready for Inspection forum
I look forward to seeing more of your work

Looks good mate!
I made the Revell Camel for a competition a few months back, not bad but too chunky IMO
Goes together with far less stress than the Eduard one though!
Look forward to seeing more!

Thanks Mish and Azgaron ,
Sorry for no recent updates, modelling and the heat don't mix in my case ,
I've painted up the pit, and sanded the tail from the inside to reduce the thickness.
I think the Sutton harness in this one looks a lot better than the one in my Hurri,
Anyway, judge for yourself:
The IP was painted black, then white was put in the dials, then black, then scraping away lightly with a pin, I made them look like dials.
It worked ok(ish).

Thanks Tim ,
Sorry for the lack of updates, couldn't model in the heat!
The cockpit is now all ready to go together, just a few bits and bobs to do first.
The Sutton (ish) harness was made from Tamiya tape and stretched sprue, and frankly this one looks a bit pants ,
should look ok under the canopy though.
Here be pics:
Thanks for looking
Welcome all comments
