  10. Just finished this, implementing some new ideas to do the Mossie how it should be shown, in flight! Kit is the Revell Mossie, held up by the steering linkage of an old wheelchair , on top of a corner shelf from Wickes The main problems I had were the fit of the engines onto the wings, and the side windows onto the canopy, which unfortunately shows I used Aeroclub stretchy thread for the aerial wire, and used the kits decals, which were quite good with some microsol. Anyway, onwards and upwards, which it can do on this stand! This was how I presented it for the wing competition, where it got disqualified cos it wasn't free standing what a stupid rule! Anyway, hope you like it! Comment away with any critiques, I can take it! Cheers Tim
  11. Wow! Thanks for all the great comments! I guess I'll always see all the flaws, plus the pics convieniently don't show most of them Thanks for all the encouragement! Tim

  13. Right, this ones done now. Im really not happy with it, the kit stencils silvered, the paint went on very rough and in general the kit really pi**ed me off. However im now going to call it done, so I can get it off my bench. It was still a tailsitter, and wouldnt fit in my cabinet so i made a stand for it. Anyway, I apologise in advance for the crappy photos, the cats were hovering with intent and bits kept falling off the bloody thing: Tim

  17. Cheers Tony, yeah I'm goin to scribe the trim tabs, when I rescribe it all up before primer. Thanks Mish Haha Rich, in fact I hope its all together by the end of Saturday, as it needs to be completed by Sunday the 14th Right, I've put on the nacelles on and faired them in. I also wacked on the flaps, pylons and ailerons. I also put on the Nav lights. I was quite impressed with how they turned out: I did then by drilling a hole in the rear, and putting clear red + green in, fitting them on with white glue as well as possible, then coating them with klear, and filling the gaps with superglue. Then they were progressively sanded down and polished with mastercasters miracle polishers. Now they're perfectly faired in I put the nose section on and masked it also, it was a tad undersize but that could be due to my assembling of the fuselage. I put on the gun pod: The tailplanes have been glued on as well: Wish me luck as I have two exams tomorrow! Cheers Tim
  18. Right, I've done a fair bit now since the GB started. I put the cockpit lid on, and shoved a load of shot air rifle pellets behind the pit. (thanks to Peter for this) I then assembled the wings: I thinned the kit exhausts as well, makes them look much better. (compared to kit one on right) I then put the fuselage together: I reprofiled the fin leading edge, not 100% but I think its better than before: I filled two of the B2 type equipment doors: I razor sawed the bomb bay in two, as it will have the gun pod on: Exhausts on: I also crammed the Nacelles full of lead: These are the forward bomb doors: Rudder filled: Tail and control surfaces: Comments welcome Cheers Tim
