  1. Back in the day (1970's) Fiat had a rally version of this, with much wider wheel arches and wheels, covered in lights, and with a hardtop. Went incredibly fast and made a stupendous noise. If you youtube Fiat Abarth 124 Rallye, there's some really good footage.
  2. White Triumph TR7, didn't get too good a look at it as was driving. I think it was "W" reg.
  3. Never mind seeing an MR2, that Fulvia would suit me down to the ground. Only 75k miles!!
  4. Leaving aside the excellence of your build, I'm intrigued by the photo f the three Fords - well, actually No 62 running beside them. Anybody got an idea of what that was/is?
  5. Tide coming in, or going out? Judging by the damp looking patch behind it, it's going out.
  6. Very nice, not that common to see a mk1 nowadays. Can't read the numberplate, so can't check its MoT history, see how many times "corrosion" got mentioned!!
  7. John Lambert's photos re very good, but there is never an MR2 there, of any of the three marks. however...Mk3 round the corner this morning,, silver, hard top, non standard wheels, but looked very nice.
  8. Yes, VERY bright yellow. I could fancy one of those, though.
  9. Two today, a Porsche 930 and a 56 reg Moggie. Both looked to be in excellent nick.
  10. Quite a good day, really. Went to Heybridge basin for a walk and saw... 'D' reg Porsche 924, looked really neat and tidy. The Volvo Amazon estate that is parked up there. On the way back, heading towards Goldhanger, a new Alpine A110 in Alpine Blue. With the sun shining on it, it looked absolutely gorgeous! Oh, and BTW, "Spot of the Year" - The Carrera 4S that lives under its cover at the end of our street and comes out once a year for its MoT. It's only done 257 miles in a year since its last one!
  11. Interesting! I'm too embarrassed to say that last Saturday week we had Renault doing a marketing display in the middle of town with a new A110 and, under an awning, an Alpine F1!!! No camera with me, so didn't.
  12. Sorry, not "Cyclist" - idiot riding a bike is the correct identifier. It's people like that that give good cyclists like me (I don't go on the pavement and I don't go on my mobile,; neither BTW, do I ride across red lights) a bad name.
  13. Sadly, because it was going 'tother way and it's a bit narrow round there, not much detail, but... 21 reg Ferrari; looking at their current model list, either a 296 or an SF90, in black.
  14. 'X' reg ('81?) Triumph TR7 in yellow driving along Parkway.
  15. In the driveway of a house round the corner. 'W' reg Ferrari 360 - not a typical find round this way!
  16. Not of any great consequence, but: Heading down the road into town yesterday, a 'J' prefix ('91?) BMW 2litre touring, looked very nice. Personally, I think that the styling of that year was better than the lumpy, bumpy bulbous ones of today.
  17. I'd agree, plus the sill line dips towards the front, should be level and the green one is clearly on 13". Another look makes me think it's lowered at the front but not the back, or at least not as much. Standard Mk1s had 12" wheels, but I put 13" on my 1968 1300GT and had no interference issues.
  18. What I'm pretty sure was a yellow Dyane and not a 2CV this morning; in a traffic queue two cars ahead so didn't get a great view of it. "V" suffix reg.
  19. I'm tempted to agree. As far as I know, MX5s have four stud wheels, certainly early ones.
  20. 'H' suffix Spitfire (1970, I think). Red, with top down, heading away from me, but it sounded nice.
  21. Somehow, that doesn't strike me as menacing looking as the SRT that lives round the corner from me. Must get a photo and post it so you can see what I mean.
  22. Pretty terrible and frightening, but I'm intrigued by the dashboard message "Can't continue journey, contact dealership immediately" - sounds a bit like the dog might do if it was tired on a walk, but not a very explanatory message!
  23. Spots of the week, actually. Holiday in North Norfolk. Didn't think I'd spot much, based on the journey up there, but... Walking into Cromer, spotted something US looking and blue across the grass park area, and it was this: and this: 1957 Bel Air. The owner's wife was sitting in it, so I asked permission and had a chat. It's in gorgeous nick, which was how they bought it, all they've done is swap the straight six for a V8, alloy wheels and disc brakes. But then, as we headed across and into town, these: Rover 110 Plymouth Special DeLuxe, I think 1949. TR3 which, BTW, had the wicker hamper under the tonneau behind the seats! and lastly, sorry about the intruder, but it was driving in as we were leaving, so just had to grab it - Sunbeam Rapier. It was a meeting of the North Norfolk Classic Car Club. Also, in no particular order during the week. Three BGTs Healey 100 Morgan Plus 4, Volvo 120 and what I'm sure was a 1930s Aston Martin Mk2, (based on Googling afterwards). No chance to get a better look as it was going through Cley Next The Sea one way, while we were attempting it the other. Cley is the only traffic jam I know that has its own delicatessen, Pottery, Crab stall and Art Gallery! If you've been there, you'll know what I mean.
