  1. Fine Colin, Hope you never stop to building 1/48 models anymore... I am converting the F-4B Academy to the F4-H1 "The Father Of The All Phantoms", (well, I must have something wrong since I really can not building a kit simply OOB) , and also inspiring from David H building. 2. Lets hope Kinetic fixes all that mentioned flaws on Mirage IIIE. SouthViper from Brazil
  3. Try Fab Scale Resins at Hobby Easy. Also, try another manufacturer like Kasl, Kazan, Legend, MK1, etc... https://www.hobbyeasy.com/en/category/AIR12345678/AC48U/maker/FAB.html Good Luck SouthViper from Brazil
  4. I have seen fine and beautiful stands made from sleek antennaes from radios, etc... As well transparent cristal clear rods and strips in very creative shapes like spirals, flashes, etc... The bases are from ordinary or special rocks like shale, woodward, etc... Creativity and inspiration are the way. SouthViper from Brazil
  5. ..."and in addition to the stencils I also added every single bloody panel number. I was quite the "Idiot Dunce" in my youth,..." ... Who never ? SouthViper from Brazil
  6. Fine ! I hope you publish those pictures here , if possible. SouthViper from Brazil
  7. Really beautiful scaled model representing one of the X series, that are so forget by the plastic scale model manufacturers, mainly in 1/48 scale. SouthViper from Brazil

  11. Congratulations for your excelent work on this complicated kit. SouthViper from Brazil
  12. Sorry to disagree to you when you said "...in the spar box really took some work and for some reason they look really pronounced in the photo..." To me you have found a perfect effect just as they are . SouthViper from Brazil
  13. Well, at first I should agree with you. However, it is the kit makers who first take on the work and consequences of coming up with a good product for which WE the consumers will have to PAY for the product. By this I mean that, according to the laws of the market, we consumers have the right to demand the due provision of a service for which we pay for. And, believe it or not, it is this Law that governs the world market. Although sometimes even large and well-known Japanese manufacturers of SCALE MODELS make small design mistakes, these facts are exceptions to the rule ! And I think that it was not because of these exceptions that they conquered the world markets. Fortunately we also have manufacturers like Kinetic with their sensational example of the "saga" of their F-16 1/48 kit. All of this, being weighed, allows me to be right when complaining positively about any product or service provided by any company or person, without incurring any kind of prejudice or fear. Forgive me if I stretched here. greetings SouthViper from Brazil
  14. Oh.... looks to me that some people at Trumpeter/HB should pay more attention to details on their SCALE models, since there are several Trump/HB fails in their kits like EE Lightnings, A-7s, F-100s, F-14s, F-105s, etc... SouthViper from Brazil
  15. Really beautiful work, wonderful cockpit details and painting. Congratulations SouthViper from Brazil
  16. Dear Hoops, well, I meant that having a 1/48 scale piece in hand, you could convert the measurements to 1/72. SouthViper from Brazil
  17. Well , 1/72 is not my beach... but As far as I know your best bet is to find the early 1/32 Hasegawa F/A-18 Kit (see pictures of it on posts here before) perhaps on E-Bay or from good friends, and make "reverse engineering" using 1/72 F/A-18A kits from Hasegawa or Italeri to back date to Prototypes. Oh, I love prototypes too ! SouthViper from Brazil
  18. Try the F-16s of the Kinetic 1/48 series, in theirs armament options. Good Luck SouthViper from Brazil

  21. Sorry if this subject was asked before, feel free to joint it where . I was searching about the He-111 German bomber from WWII and find an interesting version proposed to be armed with the V-1 missile. I do not remember if this was just a Project or it was really used during that conflict. Seeing the ICM 1/48 line of several versions of the He-111s, I ask what is the ICM kit more indicated to do this version? Thank you all SouthViper from Brazil
  22. Well, you do not need to be an engineer to know that a brick is not a Ball. If you know about real Phantom II so just looking to certain model you can appoint any discrepancies on model's shape. And this art or hobby is call to be scaled models of the real thing. Why to add errors if you can avoid and fix them? (No offenses intended) SouthViper from Brazil
  23. Amazing honorable tribute to Pilot Anthony Bugs Bendell. God Bless
