Have you got fujimi version? It should be much better than monogram

Also all of Aoshima's Nissan R35 GT-R have it. Although spring suspension is a little toyish

Italeri/Protar kit is well detailed but pure fit. Italeri reissue is fully plastic, not multimaterial (except tyres). Mold quality is inferior to Tamiya.

Consider also tamiya kit with a detail/superdetail set (SMS, Top Studio or Hobby Design). Almost as fine as mfh, but still significantly cheaper and easier to build

also try Molotow liquid chrome. The best non solvent chrome paint, for airbrushing use 30ml refills
