  1. What a wonderful model it became! What wheels and tires did you use in this update? Thank you very much for sharing your model with us!
  2. Well, I´m affraid I have no goog news about we all that expect to have a 1/24 MGA model in our shelves... this is the answer from squirestools: "The A211 MGA 1500 is currently marked as N/A on the pricelist, meaning that it is currently not in production, I believe that it requires new moulds. We are working on getting our existing stocks back up to level. Once this is complete we will start working on getting obsolete kits back into production. However due to the fact that this will require a full set of new moulds (assuming that we have all suitable masters to do this) this may still take years to complete. I realise that this is not what you are wanting to hear, however the kit that you are enquiring about unfortunately has not been in production for several years do to the previous owner of South Eastern Finecast having limited interest in the model Car kits. We will be aiming to get these kits back on sale, however please appreciate that this may not be as simple as it appears." CASE CLOSED...
  3. How is it possible nobody is making a 1/24 model or kit of the MGA, roadster or fixedhead? WHY!
  4. front Great work going on, Coppercat! but there are some issues on the wheels side... in the image showing all three kits wheels, I am positive that the "Gunze" wheels are in fact the PROTAR rendition, (IMO by far the best plastic wire wheels ever made!) and some 10 years (or more) later launched by Revell who bought the Protar moldings, that lost a little detail ( it might be the chrome versus the Protar painted option ); Revell added 4 more outer sides ( if you rotate the Revell fret you can see they are the same original mold but with the extra outer wheels added), perhaps thinking in an hypotetical future 1957 250 Testa Rossa .... Protar/Revell tires are outrageous and must be replaced... but, if the Academy 250 LM Ferrari tires are used, no aftermarket wheels are needed at all! The tires on the wright are (ridiculously) correct Gunze made, but it's wheels spokes are closed in the back side, one can not see thru it at all... a poor "wash" solution, or then an inevitable subtitution... About these Photoetched wheels, I am affraid you forgot that Ferrari 250 GTOs have rear much deeper (and wider) wheels with a bigger tire diameter, so the correct option for this car is the MFH Ferrari 250 GTO wheels and tires set... Fujimi kit tires are totally wrong (as wheels are)... I think that these KA-Models 4 equal wheels are suited for the 250 SWB...
  5. Thank you very much, Nick but, I suspected SE Finecast was out of business for some years, I even tried some other company that used to sell Finecast kits, and they told me they was out of the market... well to my astonishment(?) when I tried yesterday to enter the SF Finecast site, it was on!... could it be an old eco? in any case I mailed them right away but, as I had no feedback, I decided to phone them some minutes ago and THAT IS THE GOOD NEWS: Somebody took over the company and the new owner(s) are for now taking a look on everything the late company used to produce, the moldings conditions, etc, so in the next future we will probably have the old kits back again!... and they have a page on Facebook where we can get their news as they are out there... So, I might have an MGA 1/24 model in this life then...
  6. WHY CAN'T I (WE) HAVE A 1/24 MGA (roadster/fixed head) KIT TO BUILD?!!
  7. Thank you very much, but I already tried the Zero-paints catalogue without success... I also sent a mail to studio27 and I am waiting for their answer... I will also try with Fire Scale Modeller, a Portuguese modelling brand.. I ordered them some other paints (his collection of paints is growing every time we need some new (to him) color, so in the next week or so I will meet him to collect some paints I ordered and then I will ask him to look to my decals and compare it with his color palette, to see if he finds the correct blue and yellow tones... meanwhile, I had the idea to search in modelling forums as had no success in the net...

  9. Well, that is a giant step I suppose and hope others will do... Thank you very much for answering!
  10. Is it possible to find a 1/24 1940 Humber Snipe model or transkit? I would like so much to build a replica of the 1940 Army Staff Transporter, with those huge balloon sand/all-terrain tires...
