Hi Please see attached some photos of my take on this iconic plane. An out of there box build, homemixed PRU blue. The kit is not that old, but shows it's age with lots of sink marks, some of them was sorted with filler, the rest I call oilcanning effects 😄. In the end it turned out decent, at least the trailing edges are nice and thin on this kit, not the case on all Airfix kits. Feel free to point out any mistakes.

Thanks. That is correct, I had to scavenge another sheet to get enough letters. I see I have to tone the H down a little to get it to match. This means I probably have to restock some decals from you 😀

Hi Please see attached some photos of my recent spitfire, built from the excellent Eduard weekend kit, with some spare photo etch added. The decals are from Vingtor, representing an aircraft from 332 squadron, 1943, being flown by several Norwegian pilots. Not much to say about the kit, it goes together like a dream.

Hi, good and brave choice as a second model, as it's quite an involved build, but not particularly difficult. A good filler and some good sanding tools will be nice to have. I have not used a single drop off black on this model, but different layers of dark grey, tire black (a good very dark grey), NATO black (a very dark grey green) as well as transparent blue. Paint has been mixture of different acrylic brands. My advice would be to use something else than pure black, maybe humbrol 85, even lightened with some grey could be usable. Remember that underside night, tyres and maybe even propellers and spinners have different colours from each other. To all the others that have commented lately, thanks a lot. I try to add some weathering mainly using oils and pigments. I see lot of quite weather beaten models that look fantastic when they are well executed, but I lack the patience and skills to pull it off. For this particular model it was deliberate to keep it moderate.

Thanks a lot for the feedback. @junglierating its the newest tooling of the lancaster. @PATRICK FROM THE SANDS, as has been pointed by others, the airframe was fairly new at the point of op chastise, and sadly it didn't return from the missionmso it never got old. I'm amazed by the level of detail knowledge demonstrated here. Sorry, no pics of the underside was taken. @mick b thanks, i wasn't aware that the reported red mine was from this aircraft. The mine is not glued in, so it will get a repaint. Do you have any idea if the red and yellow stripes shold be there on the red primed mine?

This build has been on and off for the last two and a half years. Appropriately enough I finished it now, exactly 80 years after the famous dams raid the night between 16th and 17th of May 1943. The build was relatively trouble free, just a lot of filling and sanding to blend everything together as well as a quite labour intensive masking job for all the clear parts. A masking set would have been a clever investment. Feel free to comment and critique Isak

Thanks for the positive feedback. I ageee with the overly stark wash, it started as a brownish dark grey but looks black. Yes, its the airfix kit, and it built up nice, I can recommend it, but I guess there are even better options around.

Hi all. Please see attached some photos of this Focke Wulf I finished some time ago. Built out of the box, bought it partly for the Norway-themed decals. This aircraft was stationed at Herdla outsider of Bergen at some time during the war. Makes me curious about who "Ingeborg" was (or still is), it's a common name in norwegian. The build was straight forward, some irritating issues that I didn't fix, such as thick trailing edges and some strange depresseions on the top side of the flaps, and inspection hatch on both sides of the vertical stab. Finished with mission models rlm paint, which performed beautifully, even for the tiny mottling. Regards, Isak

Hi This one was finished earlier this year, and is my first biplane. The kit was not bad, with good fit. Finished more or less out of the box in kit supplied belgian livery. Painted with mission models acrylic paint and no weathering exept for a water colour wash. The rigging is made up from mig medium fine rigging, and is a little to fine. Rigging this one was a challenge, but I'm quite please with the results. Regards, Isak

Thanks a lot for the positive feedback 😄. @Paulaero, there's at least three schemes of the same aircraft in the box, who knows what other schemes it has had. @Robin-42, I have no idea what they were thinking, but it looks neat. BTW, I painted all the yellow parts, I have bad experience with the stiff yellow decals from airfix. @johnd, I didn't weigh out the nose weight, I just filled the nose with lead shot and blue tac. Hi. This is an Airfix Jet Provost I finished earlier this year, in 1/72. It's made completely out of the box with kit scheme. Have to say it was a really nice little kit, went together with no issues at all. Regards, Isak

Hi all Here is a model I finished a couple of months ago, an Eduard Bf 109 F4 from the royal class boxing. one of the biggest challenges was to choose a scheme, but my choice was this one stationed in Petsamo, Finland, because I like the way it looked and Finland is a neighbor country to Norway. The Finnish role in WWII is also quite interesting, being allied to Germany, but its leaders did apparently not share the Nazi views on race. Finnish Jews did actually fight alongside the Germans against Soviet, how many other places did this happen? The build was quite enjoyable with good parts fit and lovely detail complete with minuscule photo etch and some nice resin exhausts and wheels. I did not use the resin wheels simply because the styrene ones look really good already. One thing I didn't like was the windscreen armor that had to be glued to the windscreen. I gave that up after several unsuccessful attempts and just used a spare from the Airfix Emil.It fortunately was an almost drop in replacement. Constructive criticism is welcomed Regards, Isak
