  1. You lucky sod!! What's this 'no room'? There's ALWAYS room Sir!! Move the other half out to the garden shed, clear out all her wardrobes full of those things--errr--wotcha call them---clothes, that's it and you'll have bags of room!! Oh and it'll be nice and quiet too
  2. If you do get one Smiffy, pick it up yourself! Don't let the Royal Mail get there sticky mitts on it!! Beginning to think they're collecting them
  3. Beg to report continued absence of relief column General! Damn Royal Mail ain't delivered yet by God!! Probably get a card through the door tomorrow saying they tried to deliver but no one home, seems to be a bit prevalent that one just now! Of course, there HAS been someone home but what's the point in complaining eh?? Oh, by the by, has anyone heard of the Royal Mails latest little oops here in Edinburgh? Apparently, as reported in our local paper a couple of weeks ago, a surprise audit at there Sighthill depot found a "trailer" filled with approx. 20,000 yes, 20,000 letters hidden round the back!! When questioned by said local paper the RM said "This matter is being treated as an internal issue", yeah right!! Joe Bloggs the postie gets taken to court if he's got 20 letters in his house but the nutters that caused this get off with it eh?? Makes yer sick. Funny thing is tho' that I've not seen a whisper about it on the telly news, wonder why hhmmm!! Anyhoo, sterling stuff General, I'm really learning a lot from this one. Keep it up Sir! And, in case I've not said it before, many thanks for posting this!
  4. Having worked on a couple of 21st's kits, I'd say you'd need a JCB rather than a shoehorn Mike!! Seriously, I've not built the 21st 109G but, having made the Hasegawa version, I think you'd have a lot of work there. Those who have more knowledge will, I'm sure be along.
  5. Be still my beating heart!! I almost did a wossit on me seat when I saw the title!! Buggar Too late
  6. Beg to report reinforcements not arrived stop-------bloody Royal Mail stop-----instigating Courts Marshall stop-----will advise stop. Buggar Would you believe it! The fastest shop turn-around I've ever experienced and now the bl**dy Royal Mail put the knacker on it!! I should have known! Ah well, extremely good report there General! That glass looks well dodgy, to use the colloquial!! I was going to do mine with the glass up also as I think that makes the whole thing look REALLY fast but, as I've never seen the kit before I had no idea how that was going to work. As it's one piece and with you're warnings noted, I know what to look for now! Excellent Sir, keep em comin' don't-yer-know!
  7. Just checked on my order---placed with Model Hobbies at 10:17 last night by 'she who must be obeyed'. Despatched at 9:59 this morning! Bloody 'ell!! Got my Trumpeter 1/35 Morser Karl from them, it took a week and I thought that wasn't bad!! Could have it tomorrow at this rate whoooooo!!
  8. Nice work Adrian!! I built the original Monogram, fighter version when it first came out. I've also got the Revell, recon version you're working on so I'll be watching this one!! Have you found the blue plastic to be a bit soft!! When I looked at my Revell one, I really thought the plastic WAS soft and very 'bendy'. That could actually help with fit tho' I suppose.
  9. Ah General, bit behind the times there Sir! Some of 'the lads' went down south a while ago don't yer know and grabbed some southern bloke, brought him up here and 'requested' he sort things out or he'd have nothin' to put a sporran in front off har-har!! Kept screamin' somthin' about a 'Virgin' for some reason, damn bearded Sassenach!! As to them elevons Sir---yes , as I said, I'd heard they could be a prob, not worried about the rest but I had serious doubts about those blokes eh what?? "But you can be my batman any time"---didn't know your name was Robin good sir, I fort it was Horace or something of that ilk old boy! Forward the Buffs!!!
  10. Try using Immac the next time Trubbie
  11. Well, I've ordered mine so, the relief column is on the way General!! (Will be ready about 2011)!! Damn there eyes I say, cold steel, that's the answer by God
  12. Pardon my abscence on parade yesterday General Sir!! 'Fraid old Edinburgh's broadband communications went down the 'ole swanny all day by Gad!! Hang the blighters I say!! Ah, marmalade and oysters---mmmmmhhhmmm Tho', I must admit Sir, I personally prefer Marmite wif my oysters but, any port in a storm eh by jove!! To business----jolly fine job of work there, was wondering about those dang elevons as I have read in other, (much lower quality than your own of course), build reports that they have caused problems, did the split across them cos any moments of tension good Sir, or, did you in your usual heroic idiom, bring them to attention smartly?
  13. Oh---and I'll be ordering mine next week (that's the plane, not the whipped cream and cucumbers ok?)
  14. My God!! Insurrection in the ranks!! Stand fast that man, they're only fuzzy-wuzzy's and you're British by God!! General, I shall prepare the whipped cream and cucumbers, we'll show the blighters eh??
  15. A number of years ago, (lots), I was 'friendly' with a nursy lady and she got me some 'stitch cutting scalpel blades'. Wicked great things with a big curve and the cutting edge on the inside of the curve. (Original intention was for cutting silk when I was tying me flies---no, fishing flies). They lay in my blade box for yonks till I heard about all this re-scribing stuff and thought-- Anyhoo, took one of them, broke it it two to shorten it, ground down the curved end to make it more right-angled and less hooked, shaped the end and then gripped it in an x-acto handle. Perfect!! Cuts a really clean groove with a nice little curl of swarf. Got meself a Trumpeter panel scriber a few months ago---- Moral of the story----find a nice nursy!!
  16. Ha!! Graham I've just been there!! Like the sharkmouth tho' eh?
  17. Well, if it's the Kinetic I might think about it. As to the British markings, it only says -- Sabre F.4 112 squadron. Not very helpful is it? And it's not on Italeri's website either.
  18. I saw this in Hannants hot sheet. http://www.hannants.co.uk/search/?FULL=IT2501 Anyone know the origins of it? Hasegawa's old one perhaps?
  19. God! That brings back memories General!! If only I'd had that build report back then. Fitting the fore section to the main body was an utter nightmare! Every way you lined it all up, supported, as per the build, EVERYWHERE--you could not get rid of a twist! AND it seemed to be in 3 dimensions as well Anyone contemplating building this piece of loft insulation----DON'T, if you treasure you're sanity! Carry on General! (Why don't we have a saluting smiley???) Gordon
  20. My God General!! This is a work of art you have here!! I'm following this closely and taking copious notes, saving your piccies and----ve may haf questionz later!!!!
