  5. Finished pics are now in the gallery. This was a fun build which took longer than I intended. Thanks for all the positive comments and advice. I can now start my Corsair for that group build although I've only got 5 weeks I think so I'll be cutting it fine. Cheers Allan

  13. This is looking very nice indeed. I like those markings I may have to see about getting them ,another one for the long list of Thunderbolts I would like to do. Cheers Allan
  14. Excellent work there Patrice, very impressive. Cheers Allan
  15. Excellent work there Sean. Top job with the markings. Did you paint the blue design on the tail? The Hasegawa kit builds up really well despite it's age doesn't it. Cheers Allan
  16. Thanks Cookie and Rich for your comments. Cookie the black patch is a decal. Cheers Allan
  17. As others stated, panel line washes are a very personal thing. For me, less is more and I prefer just doing it with a darker colour of the same shade. So maybe using a gray as Rich suggested would look better. Keep up the good work. Cheers, Peter Thanks for the feedback Peter. The panel lines do look a bit more pronounced than in the previous pics but I'm not sure why. I don't think the picture is actually how it looks as it looks to have a really Matt finish in the picture but not so much in reality. Anyway there is nothing I can do about it now so I'll just crack on and get it finished. Cheers Allan
  18. Wow love those painted stars and bars and your red/white stripes, very striking. Cheers Allan
  19. Superb as usual Steve. I love that camo scheme. Cheers Allan
  20. Excellent t-bolt there Mike. Hollywood high hatter is near the top of my to do list. Cheers Allan
  21. Finally getting somewhere with this. Flat coat done, masking off the canopy and wheels on. flat coat was tedious as my xtracrylic flat was clogging up constantly despite being thinned and using a flow retarder. Can anyone recommend an acrylic flat varnish that won't clog up every two seconds? Cheers Allan
  22. Thanks Marco for that info, it's very helpful. Hopefully I'll get started on this soon but still trying to finish my P-47 for that group build, I never seem to have much spare time at the minute. Cheers Allan
  23. Thanks Marco that's exactly what I was looking for and gives me answers to some of my questions but also raises some others. The prop colour on the decal instructions is white and I was a bit dubious about that but that picture makes me think maybe it was or perhaps it could also be a metal unpainted prop. Anyways thanks again Marco Cheers Allan
  24. Two good looking jugs there Sean. Allan
