Thanks Malpaso for your response. I’ve not decided as to stencils or not. As you say when you look at photos you really can’t see any. The only photo if Stalski’s Spitfire I could find on the web doesn’t help due to the poor quality. Anyway I’ve got the main decals on ok. The only issue I had was with the fuselage roundels. The yellow border looked greenish on the model. I found replacements but the red circle is very noticeably different to the red on the tail and the wing roundels. Cheers Allan

Evening all. I’m about to start the decals and I have a question I hope someone knows the answer to. It concerns whether I should put the stencils on as I’m not sure if the desert colours covered the stencils or not. Any help would be appreciated. I’ll crack on with the main markings meantime. Hi Valkyrie, I bought Lifecolor paint from the much missed Jamieson’s in Glasgow. I first used them for brush painting but when I started using an airbrush I gave up on them. I still have loads left which I never use apart from black brush painting on small parts. Cheers Allan

Evening all. I managed to fit in some modelling this afternoon. 3 hours of masking got me this. Ten minutes of painting later I found this one tricky to mask as it It’s been a few years since I’ve done this kind of thing. I realised after taking the masking off I missed a bit of the dark earth under the rear tail plane. So more masking and painting required. Cheers Allan

Hi all. Started the first of the top colours last night. The nearest colour to mid-stone, apart from the Lifecolor one, I have is Tamiya's desert yellow so that's what I used. I think it looks OK. Tomorrow I hope to get the dark earth done. Cheers Allan
