How big is it? Would be good to see a vehicle plonked on it for an idea? Mike -
Excellent result Mark First time I’ve read Stokes Bay is posh though 😂 Mike

I’ve seen it on eBay direct from Latvia but not in any UK shops as yet AFAIK. Mike

Good luck Pete, nice choice as I’ve always had a soft spot for the Gunbus. I seem to recall a virtual scrap build of one in an Airfix annual way back, probably still have it somewhere, and I have a Blue Max 48th version in the stash 😊 Hope you have a successful build Mike

Just seen the last episode and curious as to why the 1/24th Hellcat is heralded as the kit that re-established the 24th range with its supposedly ground breaking moulding… what about the Typhoon from years before? Sales pitch I guess? Mike

That’s how a WNW kit should look when finished…superb Mike

Sad news indeed.

The flaps are probably too complicated from a injection moulding point of view as the back end of the nacelles are an intrinsic part and the Fowler flaps fold up in an arc under the wing trailing edge. Mike

Ironically written by Cleese when allegedly dealing with mental health issues which is the panacea for all ills nowadays… …but agreed it should probably be left alone as it will just be another Victor Meldrew

Depends what you’re after but from a modellers point of view I would recommend the Haynes manual already shown plus this: https://www.wingleader.co.uk/shop/dambuster-lancaster And from a operational and personnel perspective: https://www.wingleader.co.uk/shop/dambusters-the-definitve-history-of-617-squadron-at-war-1943-1945 I bought that at RAF Cosford museum for about half price… and https://www.amazon.co.uk/Complete-Dambusters-Flew-Dams-Raid/dp/0750988088/ref=sr_1_4?crid=19FAGFXS02UVL&keywords=dambusters+books&qid=1675887803&sprefix=Dambusters%2Caps%2C100&sr=8-4 Mike

Being a ‘Friend of the Museum’ I raised this issue, way before the new Carrier Experience was opened, via an email sent to the editor of the club magazine as I had visited the museum to look at the Albacore which was also missing along with the Firefly. Then as now it appeared to be a case of making room for more Harriers and various helicopters, but my point was the museum seems to be moving FAA aircraft out but retaining the non FAA airframes in the Concorde hall. Numerous FAA aeroplanes being shifted to Cobham Hall which as you may know is only open on particular days, usually a Thursday, and at extra cost. My email was not responded to … Great model by the way. Mike

Never cease to be amazed how you produce these cracking models so quickly Roger. What’s next? Mike
