  1. Great scratch-building capability, great technique and wonderful presentation! ...Great!!! Looking forward for your next update!!!
  2. Hi, for sure he conversion set is very well thought and executed, but you've done a great job to let it fit to the model. Even the addiion to the cockpit is very realistic. I'll keep an eye on this interesting project! Well done!!!
  3. When I saw that snow effect....I couldn't believe it!!! Many would have thrown the model into the binn, but you got out of it really well!!!! In its bay it really looks at home. I would add a tractor or a bomb trolley of some sort and a couple of figures to give it more life.
  4. ...well...the Eagle is the Eagle!!! Why don't you take this opportunity to carry out a multiple build? For sure you've got a reasonable amount of stuff for a start!!! And should you feel you've got too many decals for an E from Lakenheath, even partial, well...gi me a shout!!! Looking forward to se your progress!
  5. I'll have to go through this too, so I' ll keep watching!
  6. Ican only join the party of the WOW!!! You've don an extremely good job of scratch and I look forward to seing the first colours of this fantastic Harrier!!!
  7. It' s really taking shape!!!Those light grey and white additions maake it look already colourful!!!
  8. This is what I call bad looking ones!!! Go for them!!! Is there a manufacturer brave enough to produce them or will you have to perform some old good scratch?
  9. Sorry, I got lost again trying to quote a message!!! Please see next quote!
  10. WOW! I've seen this topic just now! I've got something to do for tonight!!!!I'll read it from the beginning!Great detail work ...it'll be a very interesting reading !!!
  11. Nice weathering! Maybe another go on the main airframe and it'll be it! Landing gears look fine to me.I like the sponge effect on tyres!!!
  12. WOW!!! You did a great job on the exhausts and cockpit! The model really seems to be a higher level than the other older ones and you're getting the best ftp it. So is this going to be a double build: An E and a C both from Lakenheath? I'll be watching you with interest!!!
  13. ...will you be interviewing for the next coule of years??? Nice work on the cockpit!
  14. Nice Buccaneer, I've got the same problem, mine are both RAF and I'd like to build on in RN colours!!! Anyway, you did a very good job and found an impressive way of describing the model's downside... fit!!! Really well done!!!
  15. I hadn't seen those floats since the beginning, and it's nice to see them back. Nice gears , well done Crisp! Good point about the wheels levelling! Those struts are superb!!! I'll be watching for the next update!!!
  16. Hi Crisp, very interesting technique! I believe it's time consuming, but after all those rivets...your patience has already been proved! I had started a comment on the tractor, but something went wrong with the signal and I just realized I never sent it! Anyway I like very much the result you're getting on both! I'll keep watching!!!
  17. You're right! The reason for that is I tried to drill them and I messed up, thus I replaced that area with plastic card to give irt the original shape and I've postoponed the intervention to...better days!!! Many thanks for the info about the cannon!I didn't know.
  18. Hi Giorgio, I went through this model's WIP and let me say it's really stunning! Starting from the purpose for this build, going on with Gene's intervention to tell this aircraft story, you did a fantastic job putting together different parts from the two models you started from. Impressive result!!!
  19. Hi everybody, After trying all last week to update this WIP without success,I tried to load my pictures on a new host , as the old one wasn't responding anymore... so here I am now with the last update, which shows where I am now with this double build. Desert Storm Revell GR1 First I made the engines' front fans...well...I didn't bother to replicate any fin, as the model should be taking off, thus the engines are supposed to be turning! Once painted them black and dry brushed silver, I glued them at the intake ducts' end.The ducts' interior had been previously painted black and oversprayed with very diluted zink chromate yellow.I've seen some pictures that show a sort of carbon fiber-kevlar- fiberglass..material which colour was similar to this. Anyway, once the intakes' front section will be in place...nothing of this will be seen!!! I then painted the pilot. These pictures are really bad! They were taken with my cellphone and I'll take some better ones once I get home!!! I painted all resins and landing gears' doorsblack and then zink-chromate yellow. Then a coat of Future, Tamiya black wash and some dry-brushing whith light grey. I painted the intakes' interior black , then desert pink and I glued them to the model. They don' t fit very well, so cianoacrilate was used as a filler and a sanding session took place. I sprayed Desert pink on the junctions, to check if any gaps were left.the cannons' inserts were glued too. They'll have to be worked on, as the detail could be improved a lot! Airfix GR1...still to be chosen... From this point , I started working on both models at the same time. As shown previously, I had removed the original wheel bays and airbrakes' bays. I also cut the cannon bays openings at the base of the fuselage halves. The picture here below shows the cannon bays in place , after a coat of black, one of zink-chromate yellow and one of Future, followed by Tamiya black wash. The intakes have been glued and the additional side intakes have been closed by adding square plastic card reptangles, as this model will be depicted on the ground. Later the electronic bay's side doors were cut from the Left fuselage half. The resin bay's painting is still to be completed. That's all for now! Ciao Massimo
  20. Hi Martian, I had lost your last update! It's getting reallybusy in there!!! Great stuff, as usual!!!
  21. Really nice work on those exhausts and rescribing work! The interior is gorgeous! Look forward for your next update!!!
  22. Well done Giorgio! Great painting and some details like the retractible ladder and the papers inside the windscreen bring it to life. Maybe the panel lines' wash is a bit dark, but I really like this nice little kit!!!
  23. Hi Giorgio, wonderful places!!!Last summer I came back after many years and ..Alps are still impressive !!! Here are the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, and here another view of Marmolada glacier , with lake Fedaia at its base. And there arent just mountains over there.... Same subject but from a different...perspective!!! You see ??? We share some thing more than love for models!!! P.S. Great job on the landing gears!!!
