For F-86A you need also a Matchbox kit for the tail or a conversion set. The canopy is different from the late E/F types and you have to do a conversion on the wing. Take the Hobbycraft or Academy kit and cut out the 6-3 extions and glue the slats on the new position. Han

Hello All, Started my second JP T4. I will paint it in the colours of the demo team The Red Pelicans. But.... Has it the same antennas as the CFS birds? Say the rods under the wing etc. Han, Holland EU

Very nice model , specially from the KNIL. I don't know what the color call outs are, but they where painted in "JONG BLAD" FS.34052, (RLM70) Gunze H65. Other color is "OUD BLAD" FS. 34095 Gunze H309. One of the colors faded to more brown on the harsh weather conditions. Han -

Good morning All, Just building the nice Airfix kit of the Jet Provost T.3/4 . I noticed, looking at pics of the a/c, some small details. 1 - Some small rods under the wing near the tip tank. Can someone help with better pics of the position of these "rods" ? 2 - Some small air scoops on the back of the JP. The back of the kit is "flat" with out thse scoops. I put a link to make it clear what I mean.: http://www.jetprovostheaven.com/jpt4/img1hist.html Reg. Han Krol - The Netherlands

Hi All, Building the Jet Provost from Airfix and I am in the stage of painting it. Using Humbrol 166. It looks to brown in my eyes. Are there any alternatives? Like Tamiya or Vallejo. These paints are easily to buy in my LHS.... Han Krol, Holland EU.

The Big sound of the GE J-79. Best engine there was. And I'm lucky to see a lot of Dutch Stafs in the seventies and eighties. The F-104G is now a real tear yerker. I like it. -
Ruth, Very nice Spitfire. I agree with Finn. Build a KP Spitfire Vb. Do some oil dots in different green and gray colors. Nearly no panel line treament and some exhaust stainig to a minimum. Han

Thank You all. I bought a tin of Humbrol 163. Looks ok to me. I think, still, the Tamiya jar of Dark Green is to "green" , compared with real 2WW pics I see here. Han

Thank you all. I will mix Tamiya DG XF81 with a little black to make it darker. Comparing to what I see and read here. Han

Hello All, Building a Spitfire Mk.Vb, I'm struggeling with the dark green color, I have Tamiya XF dark green, Gunze S. A. dark green. They are totaly different. The Tamiya looks more green and the GSA is very dark. What is a good choice? Han Krol
