So this is the second model this has happened to. I clean the parts with alcohol spray it with Mr surface (mixed 50:50 with leveling thinner) and the primer just scratches off with little effort. Could anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? This has gotten to the point that I am afraid to prime my kit.
Also what can I use to get rid of the primer without scratching it all off?
Hi I am currently working on my 1/350 K'tinga and glued all the LED's in with super glue I may have used a lot but I don't care because it's on the inside.
But it did leave this white stuff around the glued area. So how do I prevent this because I want to glue my photo etch after the paint is on. And the last thing I want is that white stuff on there.
Wait it is from a automotive brand but they have a selection of real car paint and a selection of spray paint that can also be used in plastic and many people in the Netherlands use it for models so I hope it will come loose
So a cat hair landed on my wet paint of my 1/350 uss enterprise refit saucer
And I stressed so things went downhill from there
So I have to remove the Vallejo primer and automotive paint.
So does anyone know how to do this without harming the plastic because a replacement part is really expensive
So I bought a automotive high gloss white for my base color on my 1:350 USS Enterprise refit and it looks really good on my test sample but my question is: can you topcoat a semi finish over a high gloss surface to seal the decals. Or will the top coat just flake off because it's on high gloss?
The primer is acrylic, the automotive paint is acrylic and the topcoat will be acrylic.
