  1. I'm still waiting on mine, sent an e-mail to them yesterday but no reply yet, did you get an e-mail to say it had been dispatched? Muzz
  2. Check out this site shull24.com he does a nice update set that certainly brings it up near to a C. Edit - Just noticed the sites closed at the moment but should be open again soon.
  3. Stunning looking Bucc, bet it was fun squeezing the crew in the cockpit!
  4. Hi, the main colours Dark Admiralty Grey I believe.
  5. Yip, I pre-ordered mine with the overtrees kit too, also been watching the bunny (!?) on facebook. Looks like a pretty in depth kit, with fairly interesting design features, no cockpit tub and the central structure for the main wheel well looks great.
  6. I was just about to say that, no big tanks!
  7. Hi James Pretty certain it's Roundel Blue, Xtracrylix are my usual brand but don't cover it, I found their Lufthansa Blue is a close match if you lighten it a tad.
  8. Hi Andrew Your right there is a slight difference in the short wing tips compared to the S2B as per photo below, I have scale plans of an S1 with the longer faired wingtips but have not seen any photos to back this up. http://www.airliners.net/photo/UK---Air/Ha...neer/1855796/M/
  9. No, no reduction in size, cosmetically the S2 is just a re-engined S1 fitted with Spey's instead of Gyron Junior engines. It had updated radar and avionics too but the physical dimensions etc were the same. The Aviation Workshop do a great On Target publication covering the Bucc you may find it of use, it's got 1/72 scale plan views of the NA39, the S1 and the S2 as well as lots of info, photos and side colour profiles.
  10. Tom The main wing area is the same size, with the Airfix kit you should get the option of which wing tips to fit, the shorter rounded or longer faired, you won't have to cut anything just choose which ones you require and Your sorted. Roys I believe that only pre production aircraft were fitted with a retractable probe and it was not fitted to any operational aircraft, XK491 was the sixth pre production aircraft and the first to be fitted with the trial probe. 11. Hi Tom Don't think there is too much difference other than the intakes and the fairings on the tailplane which are the pointed style as fitted to the SAAF aircraft so they should be in the Airfix kit (suppose it depends which boxing you have). The nose is the same, can be fitted with or without IFR probe, and the wingtips can be the shorter rounded style as per Op Granby aircraft or the longer faired style. The blade antenna fitted to the spine are different and the S1 does not have the long stubby blade antenna just behind the nosewheel bay. But the intakes look like the only parts you'll need outside the kit parts. Muzz
  12. Does anyone know if there's going to be any new sprues/decals, some ASRAAMS perhaps?
  13. Yes looks very nice, especially now I know it's a new tool!! The clogs are already turning, I'm thinking I'll pre order one, buy the 'over trees' kit and then when the Bis version comes out someone else does the same and we swap 'over trees' kits, bingo an MF kit and a Bis for much cheapness! Anyone interested?
  14. I had a look earlier, from what I can work out (it's not that clear) if you pre order a kit you can get a second set of sprues, ie. a second kit, for only an extra £12 or so. Looks like a good deal, 10 decal options too and a cracking looking Brassin seat and rocket pods!
  15. Can anyone tell me what the history is of this new range being released by Eduard, is it the old Academy kit? TIA Muzz
  16. I second the above post, I also have that HB kit which will be getting built as an F too with some equally lovely Afterburner decals. There's been a great looking build on here a month or so back and one in MAI, I think it looks like a Vark.
  17. I'm sure somebody done them, was there not a set done a few years back with the silohette's of the page 3 girls and mission marks on the sides, was it not 'Lucy' and 'Michelle'. I thought it was MA but I've just checked their site and can't see them.
  18. Calum Great build, looks like you've done a great job of the paint, is it going to be in 19 or 92 Sqn markings? I done one of these a while back in 19 Sqn markings, the Airdoc decals are great, they do a good reference book to go along with them too. I used the Aries exhaust cans too and found that by using some evergreen sheet cut to size the fit was not too bad, the kit I used was the Revell re-boxing though, so not sure if that made a difference. Looking forward to seeing the finished article, should be a jaw dropper!
  19. The new colour scheme ( well about 3 years old now) for the GR4 is overall medium sea grey, this was also introduced to the Harrier fleet The aircraft are only resprayed when they go through deep maintenance so it takes years to cover the fleet. Many aircraft are still in the dark sea grey (top surfaces) and dark camouflage grey pattern but as panels are replaced and swapped about between aircraft you get the result you see on the GR4 on the above post.
  20. I find it hard to believe that still such capable airframes would just be scrapped, surelly they'll be mothballed with a view to selling to another Air Force! It would obviously be a big job training pilots on VSTOL from scratch but you'd think there will be country's out there looking for a bargain, The Sultan of Oman Air Force perhaps?!
  21. A Qatar Airforce C-17 Globemaster flying into Edinburgh about 1430 hours this afternoon, a bit strange!
  22. Got mine from a trader on ebay called "funnyolddog", paid £22.79 for it including p&p which I think was a bit of a bargain. Muzz
  23. Forgot to mention the interiour of the box has pictures of the box art for future releases and it would appear that an RF-5E Tigereye is on the way along with a couple of F-86 Sabres.
  24. Hi Jonners It's not quite as exciting as the sticker would have you believe, dont think theres any extra parts for the actual kit, but theres a plastic A4 sheet of the box art contained within a similar style folder with other artwork on it.
  25. Just arrived at my door this morning from Hong Kong, ordered on Tuesday (pretty good!), AFV Clubs new release of the F-5 kit, what a lovely little kit, stunning decals and a nice laminated folder containing a laminated print of the box art. Pretty good value for money I think.
