  1. I'd be interested in the negative points on the HB kit too as I have the D/E in the stash. I can confirm this kit comes with a pave tack pod amongst a load of other weaponry! Muzz
  2. Looked like a DC-10 on finals into Edinburgh today, not often you see one of them round these parts!
  3. While we're on this topic, the JASDF have just grounded their entire F-15 fleet after a drop tank & pylon came off one their jets whilst it was preparing to land!
  4. Glad to hear it too Shaun, take your time, just as long as I'm on the pre order list, lol! Murray
  5. Definitely a modified Boz pod and going by the date of the photo I'd go with Tigercats suggestion, a TURD!
  6. Hi Matt, The only real external difference between the GR1 and GR4 is the FLIR pod on the port side of the forward fuselage next to the LRMTS pod, there's a new cockpit too but don't think anybody has produced an updated cockpit in resin or photo etch. As such all you really need is the FLIR pod, however, in 1/48 nobody produces one on it's own and the only one I can think of is the Flightpath set which contains a white metal example but its a lot of money if that's all your looking for. You do get a lot of other great stuff within this set which you would need to make an accurate GR1 or GR4 but it depends on how accurate you want to go and how much you want to spend. If I were you I'd either see if anyone has a spare FLIR pod to hand (think the Hobbyboss kit comes with one) or make one yourself. Model Alliance probably produce the most up to date decals for the Tornado that I can think of, so you'll probably be struggling there without doing your own. Sorry no easy answer for you! Murray
  7. Dave it's your lucky day! Just checked and found (quite quickly!) my left over decals. I've got the lot, squadron decals (5sqn), roundels and wing walk markings. Both X on the serials are very slightly damaged but they should be ok or easy to touch up with white paint. PM me if you want them. Also have the 11, 19, 56 and LTF markings. Murray
  8. Gav Not a UK site but Two Mikes Resin in the US do just what your looking for http://www.twomikesresin.com/index1.html Hannants do stock their items but maybe not the full range. I've not ordered from them myself but know that lots of members do, think they recently dropped their p&p costs too! Murray
  9. I should have them somewhere too, let me know if you want them. Murray
  10. Thanks for the advice Jonathon, I'll try that, I bought a jar of Tamiya white too! I've put a wash on it at the moment then I'll put a gloss coat on.
  11. Mine has the dark sea grey and dark camo grey on and I'm quite pleased with it. Just need to pluck up the courage to cover it in white bits now, which I'm not looking forward to, never the best colour to spray. Going to try some GW skull White and see how I get on with it. Some photo's hopefully on in progress soon!
  12. Was Shaun not thinking about doing one after the success of his resin DJRP?
  13. It is a nice scheme, a bit different too! Interesting point about the demarcation line, in some photo's it looks quite solid and on others it's soft, suppose it depends on how far away the photo's taken but also possibly varies between aircraft. I also noticed on some aircraft care has been taken to avoid spraying the white over the black areas (fin tip and starboard wing root) whilst on others these areas have just covered over! http://www.41retro.co.uk/index.php?name=co...&fullsize=1 http://www.airfighters.com/photo/66806/L/U...uar-GR3A/XX720/
  14. Jonathan, that's just what I'm needing. Your own artwork too, I'm impressed! Thanks very much. Murray
  15. So they do, never noticed that before. Might have to make a purchase but then I already have their sheet with the 16/54 Sqn Anniversary schemes! What to do?? Thanks Andy
  16. Cheers for taking the time to search Radleigh, that's one of the older examples of the winter camo scheme. I'm looking at doing this one http://www.airfighters.com/photo/66807/L/U...guar-GR3/XX725/
  17. I seem to recall a post on here a while back stating that Eduard had shelved plans to release the Jag as they were concentrating on their Mig releases.
  18. Folks, just looking to confirm some queries regarding the winter camouflage applied to Jaguar GR3's that deployed to Bardufoss in early 2005. I assume that the White finish was just applied over the standard two tone grey and it appears that the white was applied where the dark green was applied on the old wrap around grey/green scheme, am I correct on both counts? Also, I only have pictures of 54 Sqn aircraft wearing the winter camo finish, were these the only aircraft that wore the scheme, or for example were there any 6 Sqn aircraft deployed? Any help appreciated.
  19. Cheers Bill, maybe a typo by Afterburner then, or not, the plot thickens! Muzz
  20. Afterburner Decals are releasing a sheet for 1/48 scale Intruder and mention the impending release of a 1/48 Hobby Boss A-6E. Does anyone know anything about it? I've checked their website but can't see anything, the used to have a page showing future releases but think they've updated the website and can't find it now.
  21. Hi Shaun, not sure about the RRP but Relish are charging a very very reasonable £24.49 (think I just heard the eBay price hit the floor! ). Mines coming in at £29.07 after p&p. Would imagine going by that price the RRP will be about £29 going by normal Relish prices.
  22. Hi Jens Thanks for the heads up, are they a mix of MF and SMT? I've got a couple of MF's and quite fancy a few of these schemes! Muzz
  23. Just read Grahams weekly newsletter from Relish Models, as previously mentioned Airfix's F6 is being reissued and appears to be ear marked for the end of August, he's taking pre-orders. Naturally I ordered mine before posting this!
  24. Lenny My experience of building their IDS kit tells me I know that this is looking good. For all your problems with the airbrush it's a great looking finish and the pre shading works well, keep it up!! Muzz
  25. Yeh, seen a few shots of the all white GR1 it was for an excercise in 90/91. Here's a few more update shots, the air intakes are on, a bit of sanding and filling was required, quite a bad fit! Nearly ready for the first coat of paint. Have opened up the intake above the canopy.
