  1. I definitely read somewhere the other day that someone's releasing AM slotted F4 stabs. Can't remember who it is or where I read it though, will check!
  2. Build a new one........ A. It would be a sin to paint over the lovely 14 Sqn anniversary scheme. B. It's a great reason to build another Tornado!
  3. Cheers for that folks, will have to do some further enquiry into the Quickboost covers, they look like there meant for the main intakes as with the Eduard one's. Will def be having the exhaust cans though!
  4. I've seen at least one finished 1/48 MIG 29 on here with a full set of FOD covers over the main intakes, upper fuselage intakes and exhaust covers. I have just bought the Edaurd photo-etch FOD set thinking this covered the lot but you only get a pair of covers for the main intakes, can anyone tell me who does the full set?
  5. Looking forward to seeing this kit and it's great for the hobby to have a new company like KH, but I do hope the box art doesn't reflect on the accuracy of the box contents. Will definitely be getting one though!
  6. I take it you don't want to use the Airfix decals that come with the kit? Someone out there may also have the Model Alliance set of decals which I'm pretty sure came with a 12 Sqn option they may not be using. They quite often pop up on eBay. Just checked and it looks like the MA set doesnt come with a 12 Sqn option at all.
  7. Harriers and the Manic Street Preachers, what's not to like?! Seen this a year ago or so and loved it but could never find it again on YouTube so thanks for posting! Muzz
  8. You can build a OOB GR4 from the Hobby Boss kit, all the parts are there, FLIR and blanking plate for the cannon port.
  9. You could also have 1 or 2 fuel tanks under the belly or CBLS stores. An other fit for the outer wing pylons could include a Boz pod on one side and a dummy Boz ballast pod on the other.
  10. Do you possibly mean the build by Architect over in the 'In progress' section at the moment, titled 'Another Harrier GR7'?
  11. Found this fantastic walkround of a GR9 whilst looking for gear bay photo's for my build. https://picasaweb.google.com/dnpg1925/AircraftHarrierGR9Walkaround I'm fitting the Aires gear bay and noticed there are several prominent compressed air bottles on the starboard side of the resin set which don't feature in these photos. Has Aires made them up or are they on the AV8B and not the RAF variants? If they are there on the GR9 what colour are they? Many thanks for any help. Muzz
  12. If its a pic of the real seat your looking for, this should do the trick- http://www.martin-baker.com/products/ejection-seats/mk16/eurofighter#prettyPhoto[gallery]/0/
  13. Rodders The Typhoon is fitted with the Martin Baker Mk16 seat which is what the Pavla seat is so its the one you want. They appear to be the only company making one in 1/72 at the moment. Hannants have them in stock and do PayPal. Muzz
  14. Not sure if I'm the last to pick up on this but I'm just starting a Harrier GR7 build and was trying to decide between a resin or photo etch cockpit. Decided on the photo etch and after studying pictures I took a gamble and ordered the Eduard Harrier GR5 set no 49323. You actually get a better cockpit set and both the GR7 MFD's. The sets £5 cheaper than the GR7 set!
  15. Maybe this will spur someone on to release some up to date decals of RAF squadron jets with a full set of stencils!
  16. Got my ticket yesterday for the Saturday, looking forward to it, being up in Scotland its my first big airshow since Farnbourgh and Mildenhall in the early 90's!
  17. Ditto the above, first fitted for Op Telic.
  18. The GR4 in the top photo of page 5 is definitely carrying 5, looks like its taxing out off a sun shelter. When I look again at the photo on page 14, it is carrying 4.
  19. AB would appear to be ZA607, with 'Delightful Debs' artwork and B is a 13 Sqn GR4A, ZG707 with B.A.B.S artwork on the nose.
  20. Hi Phil There's two photo's in the Model Alliance Op Telic publication showing aircraft armed with 5 missiles and sidewinders in the inboard rails, one of these aircraft is an unidentified GR4A the other is also unidentified but named as being from 9 Sqn. There's also a few photos of aircraft carrying empty outboard pylons, so probably at some point been armed with 5 Alarms, these aircraft have the tail codes AB, B and TK. There's also plenty side profiles of aircraft showing nose art etc with Alarm mission markings. Sent your codes out yesterday so maybe get them tomorrow. Murray
  21. I've built a couple but only ever added the wings before closing up the fuselage. In my experience it can be a pretty loose fit doing it this way so will be tricky getting one doing it your way I think.
  22. Don't think TERMA has actually replaced the Boz pods or Sky Shadow, pretty sure it was developed as part of an urgent operational requirement as the Tornado had nothing to counter the perceived IR missile threat in Afganistan. Hence why its a modified Boz pod, think the Harriers had Terma as well but in a different style of pod. The threat over Libya was from traditional Soviet and French SAM networks etc so BOz and Sky Shadow were the order of the day.
