Just re checked the airfix site and it's saying 4 schemes in the boxing so glad my fears are unfounded!
-
I'm not sure why but I'm not expecting too much from the markings and wouldn't be surprised if its two wrap around schemes with 12 & 208 Sqn markings as per the 1/72 kit. Ideally there will be an early scheme with the LAG underside, a wrap around and the MSG scheme, maybe even stretch to a Red Flag scheme too.๐ค

1/48 - FMA IA 58 Pucara by Kinetic - CAD drawing

There's certainly a different colour on the underside of the outer wings..... https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fimgv2-2-f.scribdassets.com%2Fimg%2Fdocument%2F496710237%2Foriginal%2F4563bee720%2F1689654811%3Fv%3D1&tbnid=1iu56QBq9TubkM&vet=1&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.scribd.com%2Fdocument%2F496710237%2FPucara&docid=4MqBgfB4AZaRpM&w=768&h=1024&source=sh%2Fx%2Fim%2Fm4%2F2#imgrc=1iu56QBq9TubkM -
Not forgetting the RAF also employed Paveway III (Similar in appearance to the GBU-24 but a different weapon) on the Tornado and Harrier force. I believe the PW IV has always been dual mode, the PW II in RAF service started out life as laser only before the enhanced version was developed.

I have actually just emailed Tornado Scale Model Parts (FB page) yesterday to ask if their Sea Eagles are for sale yet. They are releasing a sets in all the major scales, missiles and adaptors. I might be wrong but think the SE used a different adaptor from the Martels as the SE were dropped before ignition of the propulsion system rather than being fired of the pylon like Martel.

I bought the Haynes Sea King manual of amazon a couple of weeks ago, was going for about ยฃ8 but looks like it's gone up since. Still a decent price though and its dedicated to this mark with lots of decent interior pics. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Westland-King-Manual-Owners-Workshop/dp/0857335057/ref=pd_aw_ci_mcx_mh_mcx_views_0?pd_rd_w=gy1E7&content-id=amzn1.sym.6466ed1c-11ca-4b0b-9aca-60e7ab0b0c4d%3Aamzn1.symc.acfafb1d-071f-4fdf-beff-aca206a47be9&pf_rd_p=6466ed1c-11ca-4b0b-9aca-60e7ab0b0c4d&pf_rd_r=TJKKVAM5QC7C07K61J69&pd_rd_wg=HAU2N&pd_rd_r=05aea1c5-f3eb-43db-8409-bc2c9eb8afbc&pd_rd_i=0857335057

Like the look of this, looks like a great price too but think that's just for SMW. -

1/48 - Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29K " Fulcrum-D" by HobbyBoss - released
Muzz replied to Homebee's topic in The Rumourmonger
Was it Trumpeter or Hobby Boss who announced the Mig-35? I assume this is a separate new release, great news.๐ -
Not sure what it is your looking for a photo of, theres quite a lot of photos online of grey 100 Sqn Hawks, is it one specifically carrying the pylons? https://www.airhistory.net/photo/105023/XX283

There's new photos and videos on social media of the pylon loaded with the Scalp EG missile at a recent ceremony. https://twitter.com/oryxspioenkop/status/1688205381242097664?t=lUqAlXYOfLPV2qE5Kc9ZOA&s=19 https://twitter.com/bayraktar_1love/status/1688204551441043456?t=PRKYhZxcDAoMYQ7r1zqA8g&s=19

I was impressed with that too, same with the new parts for the slime lights. Many other manufacturers would have provided decals or PE instead. Great to see.

Was hoping they'd stick to the route on the map, but went south over Glasgow rather than over East Lothian.๐

An unusual Buccaneer S.2D air to air/anti shipping load out
Muzz replied to wadeocu's topic in Aircraft Cold War
Think this is the site you mean https://web.archive.org/web/20180728041939/http://www.blackburn-buccaneer.co.uk/0_Contents.html Links within the site aren't working for me unfortunately. -
Seen 3 or possibly 4 contrails in formation at high altitude about 1700 hours this afternoon heading south over southern Scotland. Nothing was showing up on Flight24 or Radarbox at the time. Was wondering if it was B-1's heading for Fairford, anyone any ideas?
-
Their Su-27UB canopy is the same design, from memory I think they also supplied a standard clear canopy with frame. However the design of the clear canopy and separate plastic frame is a perfect fit, almost clip in.

Sword 1/72 Lightnings re-issued - and 1/48 T4/T5 re-issue to come in Q4
Muzz replied to Middo's topic in The Rumourmonger
I'm just about to start my 1/48 T5 as I've managed to get the QMT cockpit for it. I did cross my mind if it would ever be reissued as it looks like a lovely kit in the box. -
Yeh, I knew that. I've had a set of their CBLS200 before. My experience is they are a pretty old and rough casting. Could still do with a modern updated version!
